I have eating eggs available in limited quantities! $4/dz ($6 for 18). Pickup in Haskell- CashApp or Venmo accepted.

What to know about our eggs:
🥚Ungraded, multi-sized
🥚 Our hens free range during daylight hours and get plenty of pasture time
🥚 Yolk colors vary from light yellow to dark orange depending on the amount of carotenoids that hen consumed for the laying cycle

*Eggs will come washed and needing to be refrigerated at or below 45°F unless specifically requested otherwise by customer*

Let's talk eggs!! There are some amazing things you should know about eggs. One of the biggest challenges for people (particularly babies) with Down syndrome is absorption deficiencies in certain vitamins and minerals. Did you know that selenium and iron are two of the most essential minerals for cognitive development under the age of 2? It's so important for kiddos to get these in their diet, and for Rhys I need to pay special attention that he is getting adequate selenium in his diet DAILY. In come eggs, nature's vitamin. Egg yolks get a bad rap but they include some excellent nutrients for your body as well!
I also rest easier knowing exactly what my chickens have and haven't been injected with, where they're grazing, and when their eggs were laid. It's a lovely thing. I highly recommend you start your own backyard coop. If there's desire for tips on getting started, I can share some resources that have helped us. 💙

They are not happy with me about their new piercings. But I'm excited to start this identification system to help with breeding and tracking immunizations, worming schedule, hatch dates. Sooo much easier than changing out leg bands every few weeks. Chicken folks, at what age do you wing band??

Pixel is excited that it's hatch day!! We have a few beautiful chicks hatching from Farmhouse of Blessings Family Farm and I could not be more excited to see what we hatch out after losing power in one of my incubators for a day. 😳

We are working on expanding our egg color breeding program to include heavier blooms (more on what a 'bloom' is later), more vibrant blues, and just overall as many fun colors as we can get. 😍

This means, you can expect me to offer hatching eggs and chicks next spring to locals! Yay!!

This kiddo is one of the biggest reasons I have started getting into breeding our birds. He LOVES his chickens. He isn't afraid to catch them, love them, or wrangle them back to the pen when mom says free-ranging time is done. My goal is to have show quality birds for him to show in a few years. His brothers are welcome to participate too, and I'm sure they will! But if you know our youngest, you know why it's so important for me to give him something he can excel in!

I figured it is time to start a page! We have been working out tails off on our little farm, and we are beginning to see the fruits of our labor!! We'll use this page for updates, selling goodies, sharing interesting and helpful info for others who share our interest in self-sufficiency!!
