We’re offering pick of our MAY-BORN gilt crop.

This opportunity is structured similar to the Pick of the Sale we offered at our Spring Edition event that brought $40,000.

Buyer will have the option to select from the entire MAY-BORN group, including crossbred and purebred gilts, depending on what best fits your program.

Selection will need to be made the weekend of The Launch (formerly the Lottery), July 18–19, at the farm.

As we wrap up our Spring Edition sale, we just want to say THANK YOU!

To our consignors, bidders, and buyers, the trust you put in us on the selling and receiving side is what makes a weekend like this possible. We don’t take that lightly. We’re doing something new Friday night.

Before the Bred Female sale, we’ll kick things off with Lot 1 — Pick of the Sale at The Launch.

For years, this event has been known as The Lottery. This year, it's evolving.

The Launch, held July 18-19 at the farm in Haskell, will feature the top 30–40 May-born pigs selling in a live auction format on the patio in Haskell. This is the very top end of the set.

Then, once those are sold, we’ll roll into The Countdown, which will follow a similar lottery-style format you’re used to.

This is Pick of the Sale.

For example, if 35 pigs are offered in the live auction portion, the buyer of Lot 1 gets to pick any one of those 35 before the sale begins.

First shot at the very best.

We’re excited about this change and what it brings to the event. It’s going to be a fun way to start the weekend.

We’re excited to start introducing the bred females that will be offered in our upcoming sale.

There is real depth here. Proven sow lines, matings we have been intentional about, and females that have already contributed at a high level or come directly from those kinds of sows. The kind that can generate.

Every lot will be vet checked with pregnancies confirmed prior to the auction, so buyers can move forward with confidence.

It’s always nice to have options at home, and we’re glad that we could come together with Fontenot Farms and Rutledge Reds to house Night Cap here.

This is the time of year that we typically find out if a boar is going to be a sire or not. The baby pigs were skinny. Whether that suits you or not, I’ll let you decide. But, they’re feeding and they’re starting to surface.

Skull, arm, and chest are good.

Bone is immature and appears to continue to progress with maturity.

Between the Coates hog that’s been on such a tear and a few Night Cap sons popping up, his demand is starting to increase.

Mate to Dog eat Dog at Laird’s and Blood Brother at Schaffer’s.
