We offer pick-your-own and bagged apples, pumpkins, mums, fall decor and lots of old-fashioned fall family fun. Croix River Valley at the intersection of 90th Street and St. Croix Trail, just two miles south of Afton State Park. Pick your own apples, purchase picked apples and goods at our country store, visit with our goats and chickens. Whistling Well Farm is one of the favorite apple orchards of the area. Whistling Well Farm was founded in 1972. The first apple trees were planted in 1980 by Carol and Charlie Johnson, along with their sons Chad and Neal.

Our annual Apple Festival is still going on, running every Saturday and Sunday through Sunday, October 25!

We have plenty of bagged apples ready to grab and go! Note: Our pick-your-own apples are done for the season and no longer available.

Our pumpkin patch is now open! Come and pick your own pumpkins or grab one (or five!) of our pre-picked pumpkins, perfect for fall decor and jack-o’-lanterns!

Catch the Back Porch Band playing family-friendly live music every Sunday, noon to 4:30 pm. Grab a bite at our concessions, feed the chickens, meet our goats and sheep, and say hi to Emmy, our resident farm dog. There’s something for everyone!

*Friendly, well-behaved, leashed dogs welcome.

Whistling Well Farm will be open for the season on Friday, Sept. 4th!
Main Farm open Thursday - Sunday, 9a - 5p. Open Labor Day. Main Farm closed Monday - Wednesday.
Our Red Barn will also open on Sept. 4th, and will be open 9a - 5p, 7 days a week.
We have lots of pre-picked apples available, but are not doing pick your own yet. See you soon! 🍎
