These peonies have been blooming on our farm for generations. And moved farm to farm across Minnesota.

Planted by family members long before us, these beautiful flowers have called Durow Farms home for nearly 150 years. Through changing seasons, growing families, and generations of hard work, they continue to return each spring as a reminder of our farm’s deep roots and enduring legacy.

Some things never go out of style. 🌸❤️

How to survive spring planting 🌱 + spring sports chaos 🎾🤸‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Short answer: snack prep that actually fuels you.

When you’re running from the field to the game (with kids in tow), you need something quick, filling, and not another processed bar. Enter: energy protein bites👇

✨ My go-to batch:

* 2 cup oats
* 1 cup peanut butter
* 1/2 cup honey
* 4 scoops vanilla whey protein powder
* 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
* 1/4 cup cacao nibs Optional: flax seeds, chia seeds, sliced almonds

Mix, roll, refrigerate. Done.

✔️ Protein + carbs = steady energy
✔️ Kid-approved
✔️ Grab-and-go between games, chores, and everything else

Make a batch this weekend and thank yourself all week.

Because spring isn’t slowing down… but at least you won’t be running on “E”

Homemade Protein Boosted Nesquik Powder

Ingredients (fills a large mason jar)
•1 cup granulated sugar
•1 cup unsweetened cacao powder
•1 cup vanilla whey protein powder (vanilla makes it taste more like Nesquik)
•2 Tbsp cornstarch (keeps it from clumping + helps dissolving)
•½ tsp salt Instructions
1. Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor.
2. Pulse until the mixture becomes ultra-fine (30–60 seconds).
3. Pour into a large airtight jar or container. ENJOY! Mix 1 Tablespoon with Whole Milk for 10 grams protein hot cocoa or with Fairlife for 15 grams protein hot cocoa

Even in extreme cold, our livestock depend on us—feeding cows, checking calves, and making sure everyone and every animal stays safe and healthy. This is farming, no matter the temperature.
