Cut your own Zinnias at 755 Forty Foot Road Hatfield. They are in full bloom now. Self-service, we provide the snips for cutting and twine to tie your bouquet. Come any time during daylight hours. Just drop your cash in the pay box. $1.25 per bloom. We are progressively planting to provide flowers through the summer and fall.

The theme of the 2026 PA Farm Show is "Growing a Nation," celebrating the 250th anniversary of our nation this year. The Department of Agriculture communications director requested the use of my porch pot to decorate the podium at a ceremony which highlighted the importance of Pennsylvania agriculture in "Growing a Nation."

We enjoy attending and participating in the PA farm show because we see friends from the Christmas tree community and others from across the state and even from home. Gary demonstrates how to make wreaths. We were happy to see our neighbor, Giuseppe who is president of PA State 4-H Council.

A January tradition is participating in Pennsylvania Farm Show. As a member of Pennsylvania Christmas Tree Growers Association, Gary is on the committee to set up the Christmas tree and wreath exhibit. (If you go, it's near the butter sculpture in the Main Hall.) This year Gary entered Porch Pot, receiving 2nd place, and Creative Unconventional, receiving 3rd place.

North Penn Community Education class on wreath making was held Wednesday night. Everybody made wreaths and decorated with their choice of bows and decorations.
