If you’ve been following me for any amount of time you know I frequent lots of places. Those places obviously have stellar food, great owners and a friendly staff. The details matter and let me tell you .of.roux is absolutely KILLING it in every category. A new menu adds new and exciting items and the Mustard Buzzard may be my favorite menu item in all of the Pine Belt now. Go get it ASAP, trust me.

What an incredible evening….from the reservation to the staff, the food and the entire experience was fantastic. Such a great date night / special occasion spot for . We kicked the evening off with the shrimp remoulade over fried green tomatoes. The steakhouse salad was excellent & the filet was delicious - easily in the top 5 I’ve ever eaten. The Brick chicken was stellar. The sides were excellent and again the service was top notch. If you haven’t been and want an elevated experience then go check them out. Football season & wings go hand in hand and provides plenty of options on sauces and lots of TVs to watch the big game. The wings were excellent and the staff was great. Get downtown and check them out!

It’s good day when Grant and the crew at are handling your lunch plans. Today’s special was the bbq pork chop with the world famous corn and green bean casserole. I think the photo speaks for itself. So delicious, and the friendly staff and crew are second-to-none in terms of service. Local

Another great spot on Front Street is and boy today was an awesome experience. We had the garlic bread with pepperoni to start but ate it too quickly for the picture. Followed that up with some chicken Alfredo. It was delicious, creamy and tons of Alfredo sauce and the penne was a great touch. The quatro pizza was outstanding. Get downtown and check these guys out for great food and service!

Recently got a recommendation to go try the bbq at across from USM. I got the brisket plate with the Mac & potato salad. Everything was excellent. Service was outstanding and the brisket is definitely worth the price of admission. Cannot wait to come back.

School is back in session and one place you need to go try is .of.roux. They consistently crank out stellar food every single visit and the menu is full of Cajun comfort food. Today was my first time trying the jambalaya and it is too-notch and you already know how elite the blackened chicken thighs are! Go see the guys at Art of Roux.

Another hidden gem in West Hattiesburg. The Grill at Shadow Ridge offers a wide variety menu options (more than typical golf course food - redfish and grilled tuna options) and I cannot wait to come back and try more. Today I had the Birdie Sandwich (grilled chicken with bacon and cheese) and the sweet potato fries. The portions were awesome and everything was excellent! Go check it out.

I usually get messages asking where should I go when I come to Hattiesburg and right now my answer is 100% . Anyone that has spent time around the Hub City knows about but I would encourage you to make the trip out to Sumrall. Trust me - we keep coming back. This chef special tonight was AWESOME - a NY strip with pasta and a spicy cajun cream sauce with 3 blackened shrimp. This needs to be around all the time! My goodness what a treat!

Oh. My. Goodness. I may have just found my favorite place in the Pine Belt. If you haven’t had the ribs or brisket from you are missing out. You know it’s good from the smell when you arrive and the food did NOT disappoint. Melt in your mouth brisket and fall off the bone ribs. I will be back very soon and frequently. The sides were excellent and the staff was awesome. 10/10.
