Thomley's Christmas Tree Farm & Gift Shop has been a part of the Oak Grove community for nearly 53 years. It was back in January 1967 that Howard and Mamie Thomley began growing trees on the land that had been in the Thomley family for many years. Their grandson Jeremy Thomley now owns the farm and plans to continue a long standing tradition allowing many to come each year to enjoy a family outing
to find the perfect Christmas tree for their home. The Leyland Cypress is our most popular, and the Virginia Pine which is a strong scented good ole southern Christmas tree. We also grow the Carolina Sapphire. In addition to the trees we grow, we also bring in several sizes of Fraser Fir from North Carolina. Because the Fir trees were cut in a dormant state (very cold) they typically last even longer than the trees we grow here. We can also Flock your tree which is adding a White snow like substance, if your looking for that winter wonderland look. Fresh Wreaths and Garland are also another big item at our farm. Customers should place their orders early to insure delivery of fresh hand made wreaths and garland. The Gift Shop has also been an attraction for many years with a great supply of Christmas ornaments, bows and gifts. The farm has added a few new features over the years. We have goats, a peacock, chickens & 2 pigs on the farm. The farm is home to the states only Glass Blowing Hot Shop. Artists work with customers to blow beautiful Ornaments, Bowls, Pumpkins, Vases etc. the Glass Studio opened in 2016 and has been voted the “Best Date Night” in Mississippi. Due to Covid concerns we are suspending 2021 field trips. Basically we need adults to attend with their children, we realize that limits possibilities for public schools and apologize sincerely. You can come early and tag a tree to be picked up at a later date. Season opens November 1st for those wanting the best selection. The trees we grow are $10 a foot. The 300 Frasier firs we bring in just before Thanksgiving are priced on the tree. We begin cutting trees the weekend before Thanksgiving. Keeping in mind cutting them early requires a bit more attention to watering. We want to thank everyone who over the years have been loyal customers. The Christmas tree season is a very special time of year for our family. We would like to make it a special time of year for yours too!
