We've been busy in the soap barn, and our fall lineup is finally in production!

This year we're bringing back a few of your favorite seasonal scents... and introducing TWO brand-new fragrances that we can't wait for you to try. 🧼

These bars are freshly made and are now beginning their curing process. That means they'll need a few weeks before they're ready to head to their new homes—but trust us, they're worth the wait!

We've been keeping a little secret... and we're so excited to finally share it!

If you've been with Hope Hill Farm from the beginning, you know our laundry soap originally came in plastic containers. When we first launched, we chose the most affordable packaging we could find because, honestly, we had no idea if anyone would even buy it. 😆

Fast forward to today, and our laundry soap has become our best-selling product. 🥳 Because of your support, we're now able to make a change we've wanted to make for a long time.

We're officially transitioning to these new eco-friendly refill pouches! 💚

Not only do they take up less space in your home, but they're easier to ship, and eliminate the plastic container while still holding the same laundry soap you know and love.

We'll be phasing out our plastic containers as our current inventory sells, so don't be surprised if you see both styles for a little while. The soap you love isn't changing—just the packaging.

We’ve attended a couple shows outside of the county fair this year.
We attended the Lincoln County Classic in Washington, IN in June, and this last weekend the Battle on the Blugrass in Henderson, KY.
Our girls did great amongst some very tough competition. Only one ribbon:

🖤💛Fairland Farm SC Java Bean was first in her class, then 🏅RGCH at the Lincoln County Classic.

I don’t remember all the placing of the juniors but I was happy where the landed based on the competition in the ring. They mostly placed near the middle or top half of some very large classes.

Next on the agenda is state fair, our most exciting show weekend of the season!

GIBSON COUNTY FAIR:

Although this post comes very late, we had a wonderful fair week. The kids had a blast being with their friends all week, playing countless card games, water balloon fights, hanging out next to the livestock, and eating more than their share of junk food.

The kids did great in the project barn with many champion, reserve champion, and blue ribbons.

Drew and Nora received reserve champion breeding pen and reserve champion dual purpose chickens in the poultry show. 🐓🍗🐔🐥 Our meat birds grew well and looked great, but no big wins there this year! They are now in the freezer and will feed us till next summer.

The goats had a great year!!

🥈Hope Hill Farm Cinco de Mayo was reserve grand champion dairy doe.

🏆🥇Hope Hill Farm RC Gold Nugget was grand champion junior dairy doe.

🏆Ben was champion junior showman.
The older kids didn’t participate in showmanship this year as they had won their respective age groups the previous year.

We also were :

🥇champion herd.

Hope Hill update-

It’s been a bit since I’ve posted. We’ve had a very BIG spring for our family. Our son Sam graduated from high school as valedictorian. We celebrated him with family and friends on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend then six days later celebrated our oldest daughter marrying her high school sweet heart. We couldn’t be more proud of them both and are so blessed to welcome Ryan into our family as another son and another brother to our kids.

God is so good and his blessings abound. We are so thankful for His grace and faithfulness to our family and are so excited to enter into this next phase with all its adventures.

Here are some other pictures from around the farm as well.
Matt built this beautiful fence around my garden and we’ve spent a lot of hours getting it planted and weeded. We are just starting to enjoy our first veggies.

We have a broody hen sitting on a clutch of eggs that should hatch in about a week.

The goats are spoiled and milking well. Kids are walking them in preparation for the fair.

The bucks are chubby and happy.

This rooster is a little full of himself. The kids are usually carrying a stick when walking by him just in case he’s feeling a bit spicy.

Cornish cross chickens will go to the fair then in the freezer for our family.

The farm had a great opportunity to do an “Out and About” segment with Jeff Lyons from Channel 14 news.

It was such a fun afternoon, and Jeff was great to work with and such a great sport when filming with the slightly obnoxious goat kids.

Here’s a little peak into our life with the goats and what a Friday afternoon looks like for me and Jessica in “The Soap Barn”.

We’ve been busy!!
Three more does have kidded and many more kids to choose from.

Two does and a buck. 1 doe was born weak and never took off and died after three days, despite our best efforts.
Buck and doe are available.

🐐🌟CH Hope Hill Farm St. Lucy

2 does, 1 buck. She had a very tough birth due to a DOA doe holding up the whole process. I was so close to calling it and going for a c-section, but thankfully one last attempt got the deceased doe out. The other doe stays right here on the farm and the buck is not available.

🐐Hope Hill Farm Cinco de Mayo

2 does, 1 buck. The buck will be available as a wether and the does are available. They are adorable. Black and covered in moonspots!

We have so many nice kids available. Some show quality, great 4-h animals, some best suited as home milkers, and wethers as pets.
