How did we get here?
Recently , we've shared some exciting news about new adventures here at the farm. The addition of Deep Roots Nursery-Havana
We realized we haven't really told you the story behind our decision.
We’ve been asking ourselves…
What do we want the next chapter of our lives to look like?
And the answer kept bringing us back here. To the farm. To our family. To our community.
We want to spend more time building this place into something that isn't just a farm.
We want it to be a place where people can come together.
Where children can run and play.
Where families can make memories.
Where neighbors can become friends.
Where people can slow down for a little while.
Where Christmas traditions can begin and eventually, where the community can come in the spring looking for a few plants for their yard and leave with inspiration for what they can grow at home.
That's where Deep Roots Nursery-Havana comes in.
For Bryan leaving the job he’s dedicated 21 years to wasn't easy. It was a giant leap of faith!
For me, I have loved being a nurse and caring for patients for almost 30 years. I hope to continue to do so on a smaller scale.
We have partnered with another wonderful couple (Alicia Ann Keeter and David Keeter) to build the nursery. Together we're hoping to create something that is rooted in faith, family and community.
We don't have everything figured out.
We don't have a finished nursery to show you.
We're starting from the ground up.
And honestly we think that's the best part.
Over the next several months, we're going to let you see the process, the work, the decisions, the progress, the challenges, the plants, the Christmas preparations, and hopefully a whole lot of fun along the way.
Because this isn't just a business expansion for us.
It's the beginning of a new chapter and we would love for you to be part of it!

🎄Get ready to come make Christmas memories with us.
🌱 And eventually, come grow with us all year long.
