LBI, we are OPEN for business! ☀️

After a week of cleaning, sanitizing, and installing new refrigeration, our doors are open. We cannot thank this team enough for all the hard work that went into getting back on our feet after the nor’easter.

We hope you’ll stop by this weekend!

The nor’easter brought about a foot of water into our Beach Haven shop (plus an olive oil slick we won’t soon forget). So, we grabbed the mops and got to work. It’s all hands on deck this week putting the pieces back together, and we couldn’t be prouder of this crew.

To our LBI neighbors, many of whom are also in clean-up mode: thank you for checking in and reminding us why we love being part of this island. We’re resilient.

We’re working hard to reopen by the weekend. Until then, our Clinton, NJ location Fourchette Clinton is open and ready for you.

Goat cheese lovers, it’s time to branch out from the grocery store log. Our pick to get you there? Leonora, one of Meredith’s favorites.

Hailing from the mountainous region of León in northwestern Spain, this is a relatively new creation, born out of a real resurgence in Spanish cheesemaking. It’s made from pasteurized Alpine goat milk and shaped into a striking loaf, with a natural mold-ripened rind occasionally mottled with gray.

The interior is bone-white, smooth, and dense. Given time, the paste just beneath the rind breaks down and softens while the center remains firm. Young Leonora is bright, lactic, and lemony-tangy. With age, those flavors turn bold and assertive, especially closer to the rind.

You’ll spend your days helping guests discover incredible cheeses, building gorgeous gift boxes, and keeping our little corner of the island stocked, styled, and looking beautiful. Some evenings, you’ll trade the counter for the kitchen, supporting our private chef dinners with serving and cleanup.
