Van Wyk Acres Dairy Goats We raise Alpines, Nubians and Recorded Grades in NW Iowa. Thank you for your interest in our herd. We have been raising Alpines and Nubians for over 40 years.

After having a commercial dairy in north central Iowa for over 20 years, we decided in 2013 to reduce the herd and move to NW Iowa to be closer to family. Our goal is to breed animals that are correct and can have a long, productive life.

First show of the season is in the books after a roadtrip to Missouri with our friends from Eagle Creek. We only took a handful of does and our young does were reserve to a beautiful aged doe from the Maple Wind herd.

We have a mid March buckling available that would fit a production-minded herd. His dam, Pipit, has started her 2nd lactation with a bang, with milk tests of 16.6 & 17.4 lbs and averaging 4.6% bf. She’s following up on her solid yearling lactation of 290 2447 81 66. Pipit is an easy hand milker and has a fairly laid back temperament as well.
The buckling’s paternal granddam, Fond Regards, had a 2025 lactation of 336 3179 118 91.

The second available buck is a February kid out of Money Talks & Van-Wyk-Acres T Agavero.
Money Talks was a long & lanky young doe (pictured as a 2 year old) but has matured into one of our biggest does now as a 4 year old. She missed last show season due to illness but should be back in the ring this year.
Agavero is a homebred buck we used for several years and we still reach back into the semen tank for him when we want to add milk.

We’ve been a bit quiet on here as the February portion of our kidding season was not kind to us. Thankfully things have been looking up this month and we’re celebrating a win! FF 2 year old Meenakari kidded around 2:30 this morning with this healthy set of quads!
