Almost 6 years ago, The Village Bakery started with a simple idea: everyone deserves the opportunity to know what it feels like to be needed.

Today I get a front-row seat to watch miracles happen every day. ❤️

Our employees of different abilities aren’t here for show. They bake, package, wash dishes, serve customers, prep food and help keep this little bakery running. We need them.

My HIGH FIVE WHY is to build a bakery that proves a business can be successful, profitable AND intentionally inclusive.

Winning the HIGH FIVE Grant would help us invest in equipment and systems that allow us to grow without sacrificing the meaningful jobs at the heart of why we exist.

We’re not trying to build the biggest bakery.

We’re trying to build one strong enough to keep giving people a place to discover just how much they have to offer.

That’s what Baking with Purpose means to us.
