All melons are 10% off: Yellow Doll seeded watermelons, red mini seedless watermelons, Galia green-fleshed melons, and Goddess orange fleshed melons. We ordered 4 extra Yellow Doll seeded watermelons - regularly $1.66/ #, 10% off makes them $1.49/ #. Ripe bananas are also 10% off. Perfect for freezing for smoothies.

We got in fresh dill for pickling and potato salads and fresh basil to go with your tomatoes!! We got in more artichokes - $2.82 each. Arugula, cilantro, spinach, spring mix, red butter and romaine lettuces are all back in stock.

Have you wondered about baby Bok Choy? Now is the time to try it, at 20% off. It is a lovely addition to a stir fry. Also for your stir fry, we have broccoli and green onions at 20% off. Add some carrots and cauliflower, ginger root and some cashews, and you have a quick meal. Eat it over rice or quinoa or just by itself.

Blueberries price went up, so we'll take a week off of ordering them, and hope they go on special next week. We do still have some from last Thursday. We also still have 5 or so big eggplants, if you still need to get your baba ghanough fix.

Apologies for the tomatoes this week! The are also 20% off.

Are you a fan of baba ghanough? The Co-op has big eggplants for roasting and turning into our favorite dip. It is a little like hummus with roasted eggplant base instead of cooked garbanzo beans.

We are sorry we have run out of some produce at times. To remedy that, we ordered extra cucumbers, orange bell peppers and tomatoes! Green onions are 20% off the already low price of .88 each. Broccoli crowns are also on special this week for 20% off.

To make easy green onion fritters:

Basic Ingredients
1 1/2 cups sliced green onions (scallions)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1/2 cup water or milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Oil for frying

Simple Steps
Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Whisk in the eggs and water until a thick batter forms.
Fold in the chopped green onions.
Heat 2 to 3 inches of oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil.
Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until golden and crispy.
Drain on paper towels and salt immediately.

Produce came in yesterday! We have Goddess and Galia musk melons, Yellow Doll seeded watermelons and red mini seedless watermelons. Red minis are a special price of only $3.50 each and nectarines are on a special price of $3.85 a pound.

Shallots, baby bok choy, and radishes are back in stock. Green onions are only .88 cents a bunch and are so versatile.
We'll have organic 3" basil plants, for cooking or planting, on Thursday August 20. All produce is all organic, always!

Ice cream and drinks coolers are full!! Come on in!

Riverview strawberries are back! Get them while they are hot (cool)!

Also, we were able to get in 10 regular cucumbers, so we have them, as well as the Persian seedless mini cucumbers.
