Old Vine Zinfandel. 🍇
Rich Mounts planted these vines back in the early ’70s, and all these years later, they’re still producing some pretty incredible fruit.
We’re lucky to not only turn these grapes into our own Estate Old Vine Zinfandel, but to spread the love and share this special fruit with some amazing w**ery partners, too.

Mondays aren’t so bad when they start with juicy Viognier fruit coming in for the beginnings of our 2026 Estate Verah Viognier! 🍇
Even with this early start to harvest, we’re seeing beautiful stone fruit and honeysuckle coming through.
The harvest buzz is real, and this week is stacking up with some awesome picks, our own w**es in the making, along with fruit headed to some incredible w**ery partners we’re proud to grow for. 🍇

Bottling day at Mounts! 🍷
Today we bottled estate-grown Vermentino, Counoise, Rhône-style Red, Petite Sirah, Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, and our Barbera/Teroldego blend, a pretty incredible lineup from our little corner of Dry Creek Valley.
But the real stars of today were our crew. They started the morning in the vineyard picking grapes, then jumped right onto the bottling line and kept going. Harvest AND bottling in the same day. 💪🍇🍷
We truly have the best of the best, and we couldn’t do what we do without them.
And after a day like that? Nothing tasted better than an ice-cold b**r. 🍺
From the vineyard to the bottle, all estate, all grown here, and a whole lot of hard work behind every one.

Harvest has officially begun!🍇
This morning we picked the very first grapes of the 2026 harvest for ourselves 😊. Earliest on record for us!! 🤩

Our Estate Old Vine Zinfandel from our 52 year old Cypress block, looks and tastes amazing! Turning these grapes we’ve grown all year into w**e we will one day share with you is an absolute privilege!

To our fellow growers, w**emakers, vineyard workers, cellar crews, and the w**eries we are honored to grow fruit for, we wish you a safe, successful, and worry-free harvest.

🦉 Phase 1 of our barn owl box installation is underway at Mounts Family Vineyard!
These incredible birds are natural pest managers, helping us control rodents that can damage our vines and irrigation system. It’s one more way we’re working with nature to care for our vineyard and farm more sustainably.

⚠️ Important Agricultural Alert for Sonoma County Residents from Sonoma County Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures ⚠️

An invasive insect, the glassy-winged sharpshooter, has been discovered in grapevine plants that were shipped to Costco stores in the region. These plants may carry a serious pest that can spread Pierce’s disease, a bacterial infection that can kill grapevines and severely impact local vineyards and backyard plants.

If you recently purchased grapevine plants (or related nursery stock) from Costco:
• Do NOT plant, move, return or dispose of them in regular trash or compost
• Keep plants isolated away from other vegetation
• Contact Sonoma County Agricultural officials for guidance and safe handling instructions

Early detection and careful containment are critical to protecting Sonoma County’s vineyards, agriculture and natural environment. Community cooperation is essential in stopping the spread.
