This record is special to Alex because he interned for a booking agency in his early twenties, and the office shared a space with Om Records. It's a piece of that time in his life, and the sound still takes him right back.

Some of our neighbors and guests never touch a glass of wine, they just move through the hills when we're not looking. Bears, mountain lions, and wild pigs have all made appearances around the estate, caught quietly on camera. Here's our favorite wildlife footage from around the property so far.

We're excited to introduce fifteen black Angus cattle to our Knights Valley estate, the newest addition to our farm to table ambitions. We've partnered with our neighbor Cheryl LaFranchi, owner of Oak Ridge Angus, whose beef supplies respected local butchers like Sonoma Meat Co. and has built a reputation for quality.

We're kicking off a new series where Alex Ehret shares a few shots and a few thoughts, giving you a look at Ehret through his lens.

Alex has been a hobbyist photographer since high school, always chasing candid, unscripted moments through street photography. But out here in Knights Valley, there's not much "street" to shoot. So he's slowed down, trading sidewalks for vine rows, and started capturing the quieter beauty of our Bavarian Lion vineyards instead.

This month, Chris Ehret pairs "Dream Boy" by maryn, a warm blend of soul and synth-pop with our 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon. There's a passionate intensity beneath the groove here, and it does something to the glass. Oxford University's Crossmodal Research Laboratory confirms that warm, smooth music can soften the perception of tannin and pull dark fruit forward.
