Professor Pinot’s Field Notes: Crush Edition

Class is in session — right on the crush pad. 🍇

First lesson: we don’t crush at Moshin. The grapes get gently destemmed, then every single cluster is hand-sorted before it goes anywhere near a tank. From there, gravity does the heavy lifting, carrying the fruit down through our four-tier cellar.

It’s not glamorous work. It’s early mornings, a full crew, and a lot of trust in the process. But it’s why the w**e in your glass could only come from here.

Well, this caught our attention. A new study from the American College of Cardiology involving roughly 340,000 adults seems to debunk recent claims that w**e is bad for your health. What's interesting is that in this study, w**e comes off much better than wh***ey and vodka.
As reported on Science Daily: "Moderate w**e drinkers had a 21 percent lower risk of dying from cardiovascular disease compared with never or occasional drinkers. In contrast, even low levels of spirits, b**r or c***r consumption were associated with a 9 percent higher risk of cardiovascular death compared with drinking never or occasionally."
