For our third culinary residency at the House of Flowers, we welcome Chef Spencer Horovitz, founder of acclaimed Bay Area pop-up , 2025 James Beard Award semifinalist, and alum of Meadowood, The Progress, Al's Place, and Itria.

During his residency from November 13-16, Chef Spencer will create pairings for our Estate Vineyard Immersion, exploring the traditions of the Jewish diaspora through a modern California lens alongside Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from our coastal estate vineyards.

We look forward to welcoming Chef Spencer to the House of Flowers for the next chapter in our culinary residency series.

As harvest unfolds across our coastal estates, late summer's stillness gives way, at moments, to the measured energy of the pick moving from block to block.

"Harvest has begun! In a first for Flowers, we started picking in July, making 2026 the earliest harvest on record.

The season gave us clues early on. A warm March pushed vine growth ahead of schedule, and April rains carried that momentum into spring. From there, the vines never really looked back.

Yields are lighter than average, but the fruit coming into the winery is showing vibrancy and precision, with a level of concentration that stands out.

It's a vintage that's reminding us of 2015, another year marked by lower yields and extraordinary wines. There's still plenty of harvest ahead, but the early signs are exciting. 2026 has all the makings of a truly memorable vintage."

Designed in dialogue with the landscape, House of Flowers comes alive in late summer. Vibrant gardens, warm light, and long shadows animate spaces thoughtfully woven into their surroundings. Each visit offers a new way to experience our coastal wines through the lens of the season.

There is a different rhythm to summer along the Sonoma Coast. Chilly mornings give way to breezy afternoons, where the Pacific tempers the warmth of the season. It's a landscape of contrast, expressed in wines that are vibrant, nuanced, and distinctly coastal.

"A bright yellow color, the 2024 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is elegant and pretty, with notes of white flowers, candied apples, preserved lemon-lime citrus, melon, and delicate vanilla. Coming from a grower program, it is refreshing and finely balanced. Chantal likes Wente for the phenolic structure, and 80% is fermented in barrel. She feels the 2024 Chardonnays have more longevity here." - for on our 2024 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay.
