Here in Lane County, we were thankful to receive a little bit of moisture this week, but it’s still nowhere near enough.

Please keep our farmers and ranchers in your prayers. They so desperately need rain to keep crops growing and pastures alive. 🌧️

Governor Laura Kelly has signed a proclamation approving updated drought declarations for counties across Kansas.

Drought conditions have intensified this spring, with extreme drought expanding into northwest and far southwest Kansas, and severe drought continuing to grow across central parts of the state.

With possible storms in the forecast this weekend and storm season is upon us, we want to remind our community that Sharp Bros. Seed Co. has a public storm shelter available for anyone in need.

The shelter is located across from our building, on the property directly south of the church. It is the small concrete above-ground building and is handicap accessible.

Please stay weather-aware and don’t hesitate to use the shelter if needed. Your safety is what matters most! ⛈️🌪️
