So thankful for this opportunity in our area 🥰

We are so excited to officially kick off our first LeFlore County Master Gardener Program tomorrow! 🌱

Class will be from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Ag Educator Liana Faye Palmer will start the morning with program orientation before kicking off our first course topics: Botany and Plant Physiology.

We will break for lunch from 12:00–1:00 PM, so participants are welcome to bring a lunch or grab something nearby.

We have a great few months of learning, growing, and connecting ahead of us, and we are so excited to welcome our first LeFlore County Master Gardener class!

Spent the day filling in new raised garden beds for fall starts. Hoping for lots of salads all season long!

Friday is a big delivery day for Heavener, Poteau and Wister. Saturday will be Bokoshe Poultry Exchange and deliveries to surrounding areas ...shoot me a message to get on the list!
Cherokee purples $5 per basket (sold out)
Burpless Cucumbers 5/$5
Okra $3/lb
Cherry/grape/pear tomato blend $5/basket (almost sold out)
Eggplant $2 each

I'll be picking peppers too: serrano, cherry bell peppers and whatever else is ready $3/lb
Dehydrated goods also available: cayenne peppers, mugwort, grape leaves, basil, catnip, peppermint black tea, chanterelle mushrooms

Watering tonight and picking more tomorrow...wish it'd rain a little bit, but we are making it through this heat with several seemingly healthy plants still going 🥰

The tomatoes are turning slowly, but that's ok...plenty of people are asking for green tomatoes to fry up or make into chow chow. This box went to Fanshaw this weekend and we've got a few more out for delivery today and tomorrow for Wister and Heavener. Who else needs green ones before I let them ripen?
