Hey everyone! Schnitzel Sandwich pictured here. I wanted to take a moment to talk about our schnitzel. It was completely born out of demand and necessity. I didn’t want to offer a schnitzel. You can get them anywhere. I wanted to present all the other amazing German and especially Swabian food that Americans don’t think about as much or don’t make from scratch any more. But with leftover pretzels turning into piles of delicious breadcrumbs, and the people’s demand for a chicken dish and a schnitzel dish grew, we decided to create a Kentucky meets Germany hybrid “schnitzel”. We have limited stove space here, so we couldn’t pan sear/fry it like most expect and want, so we had to deep fry it for the time being. Our marinade is a buttermilk garlic mustard base, and we clean and hammer our chicken thighs and let them sit for 24 hours in our marinade. We bread every schnitzel to order with our sourdough pretzel breadcrumbs and serve it in a variety of ways, pictured here we have it with our slaw on our haus-made potato bun. We also have our vegetarian version we make with Kohlrabi.

It’s been almost a year since our first post about some of the best unknown spots. We called it! Our good friends at Tuba Baking Co. deserve every bit of the recognition they’ve gotten! Amazing food, incredible staff, and overall incredible experience every time! 🥨

Hey everyone! We’ve got a really exciting weekend for you down here in Dayton, Ky! We’ll have the band Superbläser here at 630p performing in our Brezelgarten! And there are more bands performing in Monument Park just a few blocks away for Dayton’s Final Friday! We’ll also have a new Flammkuchen, I’ll talk some more about in another post! Prost!

Go eat at this gem! It’s a perfect weekend for the Biergarten!

Hey everyone! We have some specials happening! Garlic balsamic herb marinated grilled flank steak is getting used in our play on a zwiebelrostbraten style sandwich. (The Christoph bread is involved…) we also have some new sides and other stuff we’re trying out! New Oktoberfest style beers, and all the salads are here this weekend too! We’ll be closed this Sunday unfortunately, but notmal hours today and tomorrow! Come through! Prost!
