Born 5-7-26. Some years we do a fun theme for names. This year for Top Gun Whiskey we are continuing with Top Gun Call Signs from the original 1986 movie and the 2022 movie. Our other stallions will have the names of Rock Bands from the 70s, 80s and 90s. This filly is named REO as in REO Speedwagon. REO Speedwagon is a rock band formed in 1967 with a cultivated following in the 1970s and significant success in the 1980s. The bands most popular songs are “Can’t Fight This Feeling” and “Keep On Loving You”.

‘REO’ is a bay/buckskin filly with a star and snip and appears to have no white on her legs. If it is not eventually evident, we will color test. Her dam is HQ Lightupthebrazos. “Brazos” is a nice palomino mare out of the first foal crop from her sire, CD Cyna Dee, owned by Hockenson Quarter Horses in Iowa This stallion they called “Lights” made a name for himself in the cowhorse world in his short life. CD Cyna Dee was an AQHA point earner in 10 events including, working cowhorse, tie-down roping, heeling, heading, reining, ranch riding, cutting, performance halter, poles and barrels. He had an LTE of $26,569 in NRCHA, NRHA and ARHFA. He was a 22X AQHA World Show Qualifier and placed 12th in the 2017 AQHA World Finals in Junior Heading. He earned his AQHA Open Superior in 2017 as well. He was also the 2017 SDRCHA Jr. Cowhorse of the year. As of 2026, his offspring have earned more than $226K and include 3 AQHA Reserve World Champions. His progeny are proven versatile performers, with earnings across multiple disciplines: Reined Cow Horse: $108,588.91 Roping (All Divisions): $59,388.21 Ranch Events: $58,428.91 and Reining: $14.97 Unfortunately Lights passed way too soon, but his offspring continue to make a name for him. Brazos’ dam, Sevens Brazos Lily, is by Wier Ranch’s AQHA Champion Two Eyed Brazos who is also a multi AQHA World Show Top 10 contender and has 184.5 pts in heading, heeling, barrels, poles & halter. She is out of Rondos Lucky Time, daughter of Hes Dun His Time, a NRCH Open Reserve Futurity Champion with LTE of $108,722. Brazos had all the makings to head to the show pen, but we decided to breed her instead and get those genetics into our program. Her first foal was 2021 buckskin stallion by Whoop Up Whiskey, Whiskey Up Birch JW, who will be breeding and standing at stud for his owner this spring of 2026. Her 2023 foal, Whiskey Up Flint JW was also a nice buckskin stallion.

Born 5-14-26 Some years we do a fun theme for names. This year for Top Gun Whiskey we are continuing with Top Gun Call Signs from the original 1986 movie and the 2022 movie. Our other stallions will have the names of Rock Bands from the 70s, 80s and 90s. This filly is named after the American all-female rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1978, known for pioneering women in new wave and achieving commercial success with their own songs. Some of their most famous songs were “We Got the Beat”, “Our Lips Are Sealed” and “Vacation”. Lead singer, Belinda Carlisle went on to a solo career and had a hit “Heaven is a Place on Earth”.

‘Go-Gos’ is a bay filly with a left rear white pastern and a right rear small white pastern. Her dam is GBL Royal Letha’s aka Gypsy. We have been adding Playgun influence in our broodmares for a few years now. We found GBL Farms a few years ago and really liked their stallion, Lethal Playgun. We purchased a 2015 bay mare from them by Lethal Playgun, Letha’s Lena. We like having full and half sisters in our herd, so when we see Gypsy was actually ¾ sister to Letha’s Lena, we were very excited! Gypsy’s sire is Lethal Playgun. He is a proven producer of money earners in NCHA, NRHA, and NRCHA as well as AQHA point earners. He has also produced winners in barrel racing, roping, and open show events. The other names on “Gypsy’s” papers are just stacked with money earners!! “Gypsy” is loaded with cow and a newer bloodline to our program. Gypsy’s damside is just as impressive and brings wonderful older cowbred athletes to her pedigree. Her first foal was born in 2022, Top Gun Anchovy JW and is sold. Her dam, Del Rio Bartender JW, is a mare we raised from another home-raised mare, Peponita Stareyed JW, also known as Bubbles. Bubbles was one of our main saddle horses for many years, and while she was still able, we chose to raise foals from her. She produced seven foals, including Del Rio. Bubbles is now retired from breeding, and our grandkids ride and use her on the ranch. She has truly been one of the foundation horses in our program. Her dam, Charjody, was a beautiful 84% NFQHA mare, double-bred Two Eyed Jack, with him still showing on her papers. Charjody was one of the original mares we started with and produced many quality foals. We also value Del Rio’s sire, Jacks Our Bartender, for his pedigree, which includes Two Eyed Jack and Two ID Bartender. We kept Del Rio’s first foal, Top Gun Miranda JW. Our other stallions will have the names of Rock Bands from the 70s, 80s and 90s.This filly is named after the group Boston. Boston is an American rock band formed in 1975 in Boston, Massachusetts, by Tom Scholz, a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and mechanical engineering graduate of MIT. The band is best known for its arena rock sound, blending hard rock with pop sensibilities, and for hits like “More Than a Feeling”, “Peace of Mind”, “Rock N Roll Band” and “Something About You”.

‘Boston’ is a buckskin filly with a left rear half stocking, rear right pastern, left front pastern and right front ankle and no white on her face. Her dam is Caballero Drift JW who is an 87% NFQHA (F0039280) buckskin mare. We raised her out of Mujer Dewey Dial JW that was 83% NFQHA. Dewey was purchased from Grantier Quarter Horses because her mare line is very close to several of our VERY PROVEN ranch horses. Mujer Tacky Jay, now deceased, made a name for himself producing using horses for the family, ranch, arena and youth. We really believe in these horse families. Caballero Drift JW’s sire is Walter O Rielly aka Radar. Radar made some really nice big horses over the many years we owned him. We have kept several of his daughters back to cross with some of our more moderate sized stallions. Radar was a 90.234% foundation bred perlino stallion who went to King P-234 ten times, to Driftwood four times with strong doses of Joe Reed, Three Bars and a little Doc Bar. Her 2020 Whiskey Up Crocus JW is in MT. Her 2022 foal, Whiskey Up Squid JW, went to repeat buyers in MT. Caballero’s 2024 buckskin filly, Whiskey Up Iris JW, is now in ID. Her 2025 buckskin stallion, Whiskey Up Gondor JW, sold to a family in KS.

Rising from the ashes of some of the most successful bands of the 1970s, Asia conquered the world in 1982 on the strength of their multi-platinum debut album and chart-topping hit single, “Heat of the Moment”. Some of their other most famous songs were, “Only Time Will Tell”, “Sole Survivor” and “Don’t Cry”.

‘Asia’ is a buckskin filly with a big white blaze, and lots of white on her legs. She has half stockings on her left front and right rear. She has a white above ankle on her right front but nothing on her left rear. Her dam is Ms Boon Jess., which we raised from a mare we used to own, Boon Fever. Boon Fever is an actual daughter of Boon San out of a Playboys Buck Fever daughter and we love that Shot O Gin who is a full brother to Tanquery Gin down there on the bottom representing solid 6666’s breeding. Jessie’s sire is Jesses Topaz a 2011 buckskin stallion sired by AQHA Racing Champion Mr Jess Perry SI 113 owned by the 6666s. Jessie was the 3rd pairing from this cross. We also kept back her older full sister, Ms Boon Topaz. We are excited to have these pair of sisters in our program. Both were kept with the intention of becoming broodmares for us. So far Jessie is off to a good start in this journey. Her 2023 foal, Whiskey Up Marble JW, was a fancy buckskin filly that went with a repeat buyer in IL. 2024 foal, Whiskey Up Earth JW, sold to MN. Her 2025 buckskin filly, Whiskey Up Arwen, went to repeat buyers. This pairing produces very nice foals!

Anyware Lucky Bet x Top Gun Whiskey

Born 5-26-26 Some years we do a fun theme for names. This year for Top Gun Whiskey we are continuing with Top Gun Call Signs from the original 1986 movie and the 2022 movie. Our other stallions will have the names of Rock Bands from the 70s, 80s and 90s. This c**t is named Rooster, played by Miles Teller in 2022 Top Gun Maverick, the son of Nick "Goose" Bradshaw, a character from the original Top Gun movie. Rooster is a naval aviator trained on the F/A-18E Super Hornet and a graduate of TOPGUN. He was about 2 years old when his father died in the original movie.

‘Rooster’ is a bay/bay roan stallion with a snip and a small dot up high with no leg markings. His dam, Anyware Lucky Bet, is by Bet Hesa Cat out of our Playgun daughter, Anyware. We purchased Anyware from the Wagonhound Land & Livestock Co., LLC as a consignment at the Return to the Remuda Sale at The Four Sixes Ranch in Texas in 2016. Lucky is a very nice looking mare. She has the pedigree and is built right to be someone’s next futurity prospect, performance or breeding prospect. However, she was stepped on the day she was born and broke her pastern. We put her through several casts and shoes to get her sound for a broodmare prospect. Lucky has stayed sound for breeding and had her first foal, Top Gun Amethyst JW in 2023 that sold. Her 2025 c**t is a bay roan stallion, Top Gun Maverick JW, and he has been sold as a stallion prospect.

Top Gun Whiskey is one of four Paddys Irish Whiskey sons that we own. This is his 8th foal crop. We decided to give Top Gun a shot at the show ring before breeding him. In 2016 he qualified for the AQHA World Show in Jr Reining, Jr Reining Level 2 and Jr Cowhorse Level 2; in 2017 he qualified for the AQHA World Show in Jr Cowhorse, Jr Cowhorse Level 2 and Open Heading Level 2 placing 6th. It has been an interesting ride as he continued to show during the 2018 year as well as breed some of our mares for 2019 foals. Top Gun qualified for the 2018 World NRCHA show, was 2018 North Central Regional NRCHA Champion and has earned 47 AQHA performance points in reining, working cow horse, heading, vrh cutting, vrh confirmation, vrh reining and heeling. He also has his AQHA Open Performance ROM. Top Gun was injured during 2019 breeding season that cut his showing career short, but he still qualified for NRCHA Celebration of Champions in LTD Open Bridle. He was North Central Region NRCHA 4th place LTD Open Bridle and North Central Region NRCHA 9th place Open Bridle. Rooster will have all the right moves and ‘cowiness’ to make an excellent performance, ranch, or rope horse. He will be a dynamo package with a good disposition. We truly feel these Top Gun babies are show quality and have potential to be a reined cowhorse. Picking out the names this season was done intentionally for these foals to have a ‘show’ worthy name. Top Gun’s foals are robust with big shoulders which should physically help them circle a cow. We are hopeful that a few of his foals land in some show homes.

April Wine is a Canadian hard rock band formed in 1969 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, known for blending bluesy riffs with melodic hooks and hits like “Roller,” “You Could Have Been a Lady,” “Sign of the Gypsy Queen” and “I Like to Rock.” April Wine’s biggest international hit is the power ballad “Just Between You and Me”.

‘Wine’ is a bay filly with a star and no other white on her. Her name Wine could also go along with the saying ‘Fine like Wine’ as she is a very stylish, pretty and elegant filly! Her dam, Too Suen Ms is a 2021 mare we purchased from the 6666’s Return To The Remuda as a yearling. She is by Boon Too Suen who is a $5.9 Million Dollar Sire with 212 money-earners averaging $27,830! He was the 2023 QData Top 20 Leading Cutting Sire, 2023 QData & NCHA Top 20 Leading Sire, 2025 NCHA Top 25 Leading Sire and a NCHA World Champion Stallion. Her dam, This History is a daughter of WR This Cats Smart a 1999 sorrel American Quarter Horse stallion and one of the most influential sires in the Quarter Horse industry, recognized as a QData & NRCHA #2 All-Time Leading Sire and a QData & NCHA Top 15 All-Time Leading Sire His foals have earned over $21 million in multiple disciplines, including cutting, reined cow horse, reining, roping, ranching, and more according to Wagonhound Land & Livestock Co website. History is just a granddaughter of WR but we are very excited to add her to our broodmare band.
Her sire is Whoop Up Whiskey . ‘Whoop’ is a 2010 son of Paddys Irish Whiskey and out of a great John Scott mare, My Little Sugar Babe. This is his 13th foal crop. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile. A key difference between Whoop Up Whiskey and our other PIW sons is the dam pedigree. Whoop’s dam goes to Doc O Dynamite who also stood at the John Scott Ranch. Doc O Dynamite was an Equi-State leading cutting sire from 1999-2005 who produced money earners and according to his performance record, his daughters have produced many money earning foals in AQHA, NCHA, NRHA and NRCHA. Doc O Dynamite has a pedigree that traces back to Three Bars giving a bit more stretch and speed to his offspring and shows up on the pedigree of many arena and speed event horses. Whoop Up Whiskey aka Whoop brings that little more height and length and speed to our program as. He has excellent bone, athleticism and conformation. His lineage tells us that his offspring will have cow and will be capable of performing at any level. Whoop’s foals are breaking out really kind and level headed.

Wine is an absolute knockout! She is so stylish, pretty and elegant. She will have all the right moves and ‘cowiness’ to make an excellent performance, ranch, or rope horse. She will be a dynamo package with a good disposition. Her dam, Too Suen Ms, is a Herda carrier and her sire Whoop is a GBED carrier, so Wine has 50/50 chance and will be tested.

Born 6-9-26 Some years we do a fun theme for names. This year for Top Gun Whiskey we are continuing with Top Gun Call Signs from the original 1986 movie and the 2022 movie. Our other stallions will have the names of Rock Bands from the 70s, 80s and 90s. This c**t is named Steely after Steely Dan an American rock band founded in 1971 by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, known for their sophisticated studio production, jazz-influenced rock, and cryptic lyrics. Some of their biggest hits included "Rikki Don't Lose That Number", "Reelin' in the Years", “Do It Again” and "Peg,"

‘Steely’ is a grulla/smoky grulla stallion with no white. His dam, Goldun It Ok Blue was purchased from Fleetwood Farms Quarter Horses. Goldun It Ok Blue aka Jazzy is out of a Jaz Poco Goldun Blue daughter. Jazzy’s dam would be a half sister to our stallion Goldun Topsail. Jaz Poco Goldun Blue who was the most photographed or well-known grulla horse. He is 95% foundation and 27% Poco Bueno. With all the titles to his name, and to his progeny, there is no doubt that this is a horse who truly has it all - conformation, disposition, trainability, talent - all wrapped up in that great grulla color!“ as stated by previous owner Ryan Fleetwood of Fleetwood Farms about Jaz Poco Goldun Blue. He was sold to Blue Valley Quarter Horses in NE and is now deceased. Blue was a NRHA money earner and earner of AQHA Open Performance Register Of Merritt. He had 22 pts in Junior & Senior Reining. He also competed in a few AQHA Working Cow Horse shows. His progeny has reported earnings of $10,724 as of 11/1/2024 in barrels, reining and reined cow horse. He also produced foals who have earned AQHA pts in a multitude of events from reining, cutting, VRH ranch riding, barrels, heading heeling and tie down roping, barrel racing, hunt seat equitation, hunter under saddle, pole bending, halter. This is a great testament to how versatile his offspring are. Jazzy is by Dun It Ok who is now deceased but was a gorgeous, show-stopping stallion with striking color and plenty of dun factor! A grandson of Hollywood Dun It & of Peprica (Peponita), Dun It Ok was an honest, quiet horse with an impeccable disposition, which made him a pleasure to handle according to late owners. He was put into reining training as a 7 year old, and showed that remarkable Hollywood Dun It talent! His list of accomplishments were as follows. 47 ABRA points, ABRA ROM Dun Factor, 6 ABRA Halter points, AQHA Open Reining Point Earner, NRHA money earner and RHANW Year End High Point & money earner. Her first foal was 2025 Bluestem Gandalf JW who is still for sale. His first buyers had a medical issue and we refunded their deposit. He has been fantastic to work with. Very smart and willing.

Steely is the 2nd foal crop of our young, home raised stallion My Bluestem Drift JW. He is 91% NFQHA and eligible to register. He does carry a copy of the cream gene which he will pass on 50% of the time. He is the result of a very good experiment we tried; breeding his dam to his sire, Walter O Rielly aka Radar. Radar was a foundation stallion we had purchased several years ago to get some fillies to retain back for our program. Within the first few years, we discovered we really liked his foals for ourselves as saddle horses. He became a great addition to our program and had 12 foal crops for us. He brought older foundation lines to cross back with our Paddy's get. Radar threw BIG foals that could cover a lot of ground with amazing laid-back dispositions. Most of his offspring have gone on to be ranch horses, with a few rope and barrel prospects too. We then decided to breed one of our favorite ranch mares we used, My Kittys Belle JW, and cross with Radar in hopes of getting some foals we just knew we would want to keep and ride. My Kittys Belle JW’s mother, My Little Kitty, was owned by Barbra Kennedy Johnson and was given to Ella. Belle’s sire was our late 96% NFQHA stallion, JK Jay Reed, who was a consistent producer. We really liked Bluestem and always thought of him as a stallion prospect and replacement for his sire. We were very picky and waited a long time for a Radar replacement and then we had Bluestem! We didn’t need him yet, so he was sent to training as a 2 year old, started under saddle, became quite well broke, did some ranching and was well into his roping training by spring of 2024 when his sire passed at the age of 24. It was time to bring him home to fulfill his place in our program. Bluestem is deeply rooted in our program with JK Jay Reed, Walter O Rielly, My Kittys Belle and My Little Kitty. 2026 is Bluestem’s second foal crop. As we do all our horses, we evaluate after a few foal crops. We like what we see so far.

Steely is a very stout and strong c**t and we are really liking how he is put together! He should have the athletic ability to be able to perform in or out of the arena. Jazzy herself is homozygous dun and with Bluestem as the sire the foals will be 100% grulla with 50% being smoky grulla if Bluestem throws his cream gene.
