HUGELKULTUR

The german described technique of mounding to plant your gardens is the only reason I can have gardens on the slope of Hill Haven.

Doing this allows me to dig trenches between mounds and have water flow between without forcefully washing everything away.

If you struggle with clay filled soil or nutrient washout like I did (basically where flowing water carries away all the top soil and nutrients) - HUGELKULTUR is your ticket!

Pictured here is a 3 year old drake beside a.ten momth old drake. Both raised here.

You can see the yellowing of the fat under the skin and the much thicker pin feathers that tend to tear the flesh.

I took a picture to sell the old duck but he sold before I could even post this! So I'm just showing what different aged ducks look like processed!
