Baker's Barnyard Baker's Barnyard began as an alternative to factory farmed foods. We raise bees and chickens. We have two hives of ... bees.

We currently raise bees and two varieties of free-range chickens for meat and eggs. They generally supply us with 5 pounds of honey per hive annually. Our meat chickens are the large double breasted broilers called the Cornish Cross. They are raised in our grassy acreage in bottomless pens until they are about 8 weeks old. We feed them a custom mix of GMO-free grain and organic mineral supplements

to insure that we are getting the healthiest bird possible. Our French Black Copper Marans are the stars of our farm. They provide us with beautiful and tasty chocolate brown eggs. These birds have beautiful shiny plumage, feathered legs, and also lay the darkest egg of any chicken breed. All of our chickens are free range and get lots of fresh country air, sunshine, and green grass.
