As we wrap up another incredible season with Shelly & the Lambs, my heart is so full. 🥹🐑💕

Every single year, I’m blown away by the magic that each photographer creates with our babies. From tiny newborn snuggles, to giggly toddlers, to families returning year after year so I can watch their babies grow right alongside these lambs… it truly means more to me than words can say.

This season was one for the books. We had photographers from all over love on Mooney, Daisy, and Maisey, and every gallery that was shared with us was absolutely breathtaking. The creativity, the patience, the talent, and the love poured into each session never goes unnoticed.

To every photographer who booked with us this season- thank you.
Thank you for trusting us with your clients’ memories.
Thank you for loving our lambs like your own.
Thank you for capturing moments families will cherish forever.
Thank you for choosing us year after year.

Watching these sweet babies grow through your lenses has become one of my favorite parts of this season. Some of these little faces I’ve seen since they were babies themselves, and now here they are running through the flowers, hugging lambs, and making new memories. That kind of full-circle feeling is something so special.

To all of our returning photographers and all of our new ones this year, we appreciate every single one of you more than you know. You are a huge part of what makes this little dream so special.

Eight years ago this whole thing started with something simple.

A photographer friend of mine saw I had a little lamb I was bottle feeding. Her crazy self said, “Bring him over… let’s try Easter pictures with him.”

And just like that… Shelly Had A Little Lamb was born.

What started as one little lamb (Radio) and a fun idea in 2017 has grown into something I never could’ve imagined.

Now, eight years later, our weekends look a little different. During Easter season we have 2- sometimes 3 photographers doing sessions every Saturday and Sunday for almost two months straight.

It’s wild. It’s beautiful. And honestly… it still blows my mind.

Over the past couple of years I’ve noticed more and more people renting lambs for Easter photos. And I love seeing people enjoy these sweet little babies (and I APPRECAITE them bc for awhile I was the only one within a states drive renting lambs it felt like 🫠).

But I’ll tell you one thing- there’s a lot more that goes into this than walking out in the pasture, grabbing a lamb, and expecting him to sit perfectly for photos.

Behind our lambs is eight years of learning, patience, bottle feeding, training, early mornings, and a whole lot of love.

Those sweet calm babies you see in photos didn’t just magically get that way.

And this year it’s grown so much that I’ve had to start hiring lamb handlers because between the lambs, the sessions, and raising two kids running every extracurricular under the sun… mama can’t do it all by herself anymore.

But I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

What started with one little lamb and a crazy idea has turned into something really special for so many families.

And we’re just getting started. 💁🏼‍♀️

Easter sessions are officially in full swing starting this weekend! 🐑✨

To kick things off, I’ll be sharing a little throwback lamb photo every day for the rest of the week because let’s be honest… these moments are just too sweet not to relive 🥹🤍
