Dry conditions return to the Hegins Valley after nearly 3 inches of rain postponed farming operations for a week. Despite the delay, potato planting nears the finish line well ahead of the 2022 finish date.

Dry conditions prevail in Hegins Twp for spring potato planting. On April 19th 2022 the valley was coated in 3 inches of snow pushing off planting. Quite the opposite this year as dry and warm conditions sparked the first potato seeds to be planted 7 days ahead of the 2022 start date.
