Alabama Performance Horses offers training for both the English and Western horse and rider. We will put the solid foundation on any horse to make them successful in any discipline you choose. Have a horse that lacks respect on the ground? Let us help with great on the ground training, teaching your horse to respect you as the leader. We use these on the ground techniques in many aspects of our tr

aining including starting c**ts and trailer loading! Our head trainer specializes in fixing "riding issues", bucking, rearing, bolting, spooking, aggressive behavior, disrespect, etc. With over 25 years experience our team at, Alabama Performance Horses, is ready to help get you the solid, confident horse you want! Our Facility Features:
~Located atop Beautiful Shades Crest Mountain
~Immaculate barn with 12'x20' oversized stalls
~175'x250' Riding Arena with excellent footing and drainage
~50'x75' lighted indoor schooling arena
~Premium hay and feed
~Daily and Nightly turnout on huge pastures and smaller paddocks: group and individual
~Full Training Board
~24/7 on site attendance by knowledgeable team members
~Several hundred acres of scenic trails(mountain views, lakes, creeks)

Spin City Reiners

Greg Smith traveled from Alabama to visit Spin City Reiners in his search to find an equine partner that would help him in his transition from the english world to western. Greg did well on the first horse we put him on but it was an obvious match when we pulled out Toodies Loaded Star as the second horse for Greg to ride. We had advertised that "Yogi" would make learning the slide stop easy and he did just that for Greg...sliding every single time Greg asked him to stop. Needless to say Greg is hooked and we look forward to tracking his progress on Yogi and hope to see him in the show pen soon!
