2 ways to check if your jars sealed after processing: the lid should have an indent in the middle, and there will be no movement to the lid when pressed on. Take the ring off and hold the jar by the lid— it should hold tight and snug and not come off.

I choose to not store my jars with the rings. If the lids were to unseal for some reason, and you have a ring on the jar, the lid could artificially reseal, and you would not know. Without the ring, if the lid unseals it will be obvious. For the same reason, do not store your jars stacked.

My hubby loves pickled eggs & and those smaller first eggs that this year’s spring hens start to lay are the perfect size for a bite sized treat explosion of flavor.

Pretty food in jars 😍
