The Hellertown Borough Authority will be conducting its annual hydrant flushing program beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, June 2, and on weekdays between the hours of 8am and 3pm.

Hydrant flushing is an important part of maintaining our water distribution system. This process helps remove mineral deposits and sediment from water mains, ensures proper operation of fire hydrants, and assists in maintaining water quality throughout the community.

During flushing activities, residents may experience:
• Temporary discoloration of water
• Brief low or no water pressure in some areas

If you notice discolored water, please run cold water from a faucet until the water clears. Residents are encouraged to avoid doing laundry during this time.

Updates and maps advising of the next day’s intended flushing area will be posted on our page daily.
