What an honor for our local cheese and other goodies to be served from the desk of Senator Bill Hamilton! We "Helvetians" are very proud of our little community and the way of life that we and our ancestors have preserved over the years. It's always nice when those in our state capital can share in our creations!
On Library Legislative Day, our board President, board Treasurer, and Library Director formed up a delegation to celebrate the Library and show some politicos down Charleston way a little Helvetian hospitality: Helvetia cheese, Hütte sausage sandwiches with all the trimmings, just a thimbleful to wash it down, and--gee--won't you take another cookie or three for later this afternoon? You look famished, here's a napkin, you can put them in your pocket.
Thank you, Bill Hamilton, for welcoming us into your office and your day, and for sharing your thoughts with us while hearing ours. Thank you Senator Robbie Morris for your too-short time snuck between sessions doing much the same.
