Big D's Ranch Big D’s ranch is dedicated to bringing color into the world of horses. Each of our foals are prepa Born on the back of a horse, riding was second nature to me.

However years pasted after the death of my beloved more Swiftwind and I found myself without a partner for many years. Along came my knight in shining armor; a surfer boy out of LA. Years of horse stories drove him to buy me my first horse after so long of none. A three year old ex race horse, and so my love, began to love what I loved…horses. With two horses, two broken ribs, one broken tail bone

and a growing hunger to get on a trail, we decided to make what we wanted, sold the two gelding to loving homes and kept the little Sorel Quarter horse mare and picked up a happy pasture pet Quarter Horse Palomino. Miss Kokie Reed “Cassiopeia” a registered throw away. Come to find out she was hell on wheels until just a bit of TLC and a baby changed her into a husband safe, go anywhere, cow cutting mare. That foal she carried took a year to plan. Not just any stallion would work. I knew what I wanted. I wanted to saddle up and go for a ride anytime, so he had to be of mild temperament. I might want to show, so he had to be a champion. From that came Formula One Kokies. A fun loving water horse that will do anything he is asked. Oh, and loves cows. With his birth came the birth of Big D’s Ranch, where making a lifetime partner is all that matters. Wither it is one of our foals, or you breed to our stud.
