Come see us at the farmers market until noon today. Rosie has her resin flower necklaces for sale, plus our usually flowers, herbs, tomatoes and art stuff! We will have coasters hopefully next week.

She was inspired by a necklace she got from Emerald Design. If y’all haven’t been there you should check them out! They have amazing house plants and offer classes! I’ll post her birthday pics I took there in the comments, just so y’all can see how amazing it is. Rosie has plans for chains and metal wrapping around the pendants, but I haven’t quite gotten all that together yet 🤪

Plant of the week: Paracress (Acmella oleracea), commonly known as the toothache plant or electric daisy.

I believe this is my first time growing it, and no, I haven’t chewed on it yet! I’m kind of scared 🤣

It is a low-growing tropical herb in the daisy/aster (Asteraceae) family, famous for its unique flower buds. When chewed, the flowers and leaves produce a strong tingling, fizzy, and numbing sensation in the mouth due to a natural chemical compound called spilanthol. It is traditionally used for its medicinal properties, but also used in regional culinary dishes and drinks.

It’s National Farmers Market Week! To celebrate, we will have live music from George Robertson and Matt Rundle (from The Refugees), and Coffee and Cream will be there. We will also be giving kids free work gloves and seed packets, and there will be an art project for them to do while you shop. Speaking of shopping, have I told y’all how many tomatoes we have? Come help a girl out before I’m selling them on the street! 😉 Here are just a few tomato pics. I think I’m beginning to smell like one. 🤣
