What a blessing 2025 has been for Penny’s Pasture! Penny has grown so much this year in stature, confidence and showmanship. The show year started in DuQuoin at the Saluki Showdown with a surprise fuzzy junior leg for Jolene Jolene, and finished up with the Nashville Fair and a nice win for Lil’ Bit-O-Honey. The Kentucky State Fair is always a favorite, and the results were good there. You will notice that our pics now include Lamanchas. Penny has admired and envied J-Haven’s herd, and Jill has graciously provided two really nice doelings for Penny to learn the breed. None of this could be done without friends and mentors! People outside the “goat show” community don’t fully comprehend how important fellow competitors are as educators and supporters. We certainly appreciate them and hope they know the depth of our appreciation. Currently having seven Nubian does bred for 2026, hopes are high for the upcoming show year. (Penny usually does her own posts, but this is being done by her grandmother.)
