Thanks to some excellent helpers on the farm, we have MANY gallons of pre picked blueberries and blackberries for sale TOMORROW, Saturday July 17th! $25 for blue and $20 for blackberries. First come, first served, no holds. Blackberries are... juicy. 🙃 All berries are unsprayed, unsorted and unwashed, fresh from the field and immediately cooled yesterday and today.

We will also be open for u pick blueberries and blackberries from 7:30 to 3.

We need help! We have SO MANY berries still!! If you or someone you know would be interested in making some money picking blueberries or blackberries, send em our way!

Edited to add: Woah! We have had an overwhelming response in a short time! I'll be reaching out over the next little while to get more info out to interested parties. I turned off commenting for now since I am overwhelmed with offers. Thank you!!!!!

Also, we will reserve sections of both berry patches for our u pick customers. There will be PLENTY of berries for all!

ANNOUNCING EVENING HOURS JUNE 15 & 16!

Our berry crop is out of control right now so we are opening up the orchard for evening hours **this week only**! We will be available Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 6:30 until dusk, in addition to our usual hours! The forecast looks gorgeous too!

Tomorrow is the day!!! We will be OPEN from 7:30 to 3pm or until we sell out. Baskets are provided. See you at the orchard!!

Regular hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 7:30 to 3 or until we sell out for the day. We have several varieties which means we will have blueberries well into July! Cost is $3/lb and a gallon is usually around 5lbs.

We are almost halfway through lambing here at the farm and today we had one momma give birth to triplets. She did great with her triplets last year but this year, for whatever reason, she rejected this little guy. My hunch is that she has an intuition that she can't nurse 3 lambs this time around. So we did what we had to do, and brought him inside, warmed him up, and bottle fed him. What's for dinner? Fresh colostrum from his mom, who is NOT used to being milked. 🥴 After a few bottles of colostrum, we will let mom take care of her other two and either milk a more willing singleton momma or feed powdered lamb milk formula. He is a lively little guy and has already been up, walking around the house. 💕🐑🍼🙏

As with all good things, the berry season has come to an end at High Hill. We are now closed for the season. We will be open again in early June, beginning with blueberry season. Thank you for making this the busiest year ever for our little farm. We appreciate YOU, our customers and friends. Please stay safe and healthy out there! See you in 2021!

Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays 7:30-noon.

Due to high traffic this season, and to minimize the inconvenience to our customers, we are adjusting our business hours for the remainder of the blackberry season. The new hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 7:30 to noon. We have been so appreciative of the increased interest in shopping local for your groceries, and wish we could adjust to meet the new demand on the fly, but farming perennials isn't a very nimble enterprise. We thank you for your business and patience!

Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

A good friend of mine is an excellent cook. I've never had a bad meal at her table. Ever. When she showed me this blueberry cheesecake ice cream recipe, I already knew it would be an instant hit. And it was. Bonus: not a custard based ice cream so you can whip it up and churn it in an afternoon!

Friends, the forecast tomorrow (TUESDAY) looks BEAUTIFUL. The last few days we have had the best combination of some rain and some hot, sunny weather. The bushes are FULL of ripe berries and ready for lots of pickers tomorrow!

U-Pick blueberries are $3/lb, and we are open from 7:30-3 tomorrow! Come on out! :)
