Columbia Sportswear, we are coming to you this afternoon, Wednesday, July 29, from around 2:30-4:30 pm. We have Cardinal Farms Peaches (Cresthavens), lots of watermelons, cantaloupes, tomatoes and other farm fresh veggies. Stop by and see us on your way.

Peach Update for Wednesday July 29

UPDATE: We have sold out of peaches for the rest of this week!

Our Peach Season hasn’t come to an end, but it had definitely slowed down to a crawl.

We’ve got a limited supply of CRESTHAVEN peaches today.
We will very likely be sold out of peaches today by 2pm, if not earlier.

We will not have any more peaches available for the rest of this week.

Check back with us on Sunday. We might pick over the Cresthaven one last time. They will be small and there won’t be many baskets available.

We will have Flame Prince this season, but we’re not sure when they will be ready.

In my opinion, these are the best peaches we have had all season. They are absolutely gorgeous and the flavor is outstanding. Get your CRESTHAVEN Tuesday or Wednesday. After that they might be gone…

🍑🍑🍑Tuesday: Cates Farm will be at the Henderson Farmers Market 9:30am-Noon
🍑🍑Wednesday: Cates Farm will be at the Webster Co Farmers Market in Dixon, KY 10am-1pm
🍑WE WILL BE CLOSED THURSDAY JULY 30 DUE TO PRIOR OBLIGATIONS.

🍑CRESTHAVEN is a Yellow Fleshed, Freestone Peach. They have a firmer texture when fully ripe than any of our earlier varieties. This texture holds up to canning and freezing better than most other peach varieties.
🍑The Cardinal Farms Peach Stand is located at 7689 US 41-A Henderson, KY (This is not our mailing address!) This location on 41-A is two miles South of the 425 Bypass OR two miles North of Cairo Elementary.
🍑At the Cardinal Farms Peach Stand, we accept Cash, Check, Credit Cards, Venmo, and Paypal. (Please note there is a 3% fee for all non-cash payments)
🍑Beachbum Farms and Designs is located at 223 Third St in downtown Henderson.
🍑The Henderson Farmers Market is located at the Henderson County Fairgrounds (381 Sam Ball Way Henderson, KY 42420). They are open Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 8am-Noon, but we usually can’t get there until 9:30am.
🍑The Webster Co Farmers Market is located on the square in Dixon, KY. Look for the CATES FARM Mobile Market Trailer. It’s a large air conditioned cargo trailer with with lots of fresh produce inside!

Peach Update for Sunday July 26

All of our peaches have ripened 2-3 weeks early this season. As a result, this will likely be our last full week of peaches for the summer. We will be picking CRESTHAVEN this week. When we are finished picking CRESTHAVEN, we will only have our FLAMEPRINCE left to look forward to, and it could be a few weeks before they are ready.

Peach Update for Saturday July 25

IT’S CRESTHAVEN SEASON!!!
Cresthaven are my favorite peaches! Like every variety this summer, they are coming in early. They are usually our August peach. These yellow fleshed, Freestone peaches have a beautiful red center around the pit, a firm texture even when fully ripe, and a stronger peachy flavor than most of our other varieties. The texture of these peaches make them one of our best peaches for canning and freezing! The texture also makes them perfect for any application where you need the peach to hold its shape, like grilling, or dicing
Just think about how good a warm bowl of peach cobbler would be during a blizzard in January! NOW is the time to make that happen!!!
