Tether is back.

Our first vintage sold out earlier this summer, and we’re excited to bring this back into the tasting room. The second vintage of Tether arrives this Saturday, August 22nd.

53% 2025 Riesling
45% 2022 Chardonnay
2% 2025 Pinot Gris

It opens with white peach, Meyer lemon, jasmine, and crisp green apple, layered with honeysuckle and wet stone. The Riesling brings vibrant citrus, floral lift, and energetic acidity, while the Chardonnay adds texture, depth, and notes of ripe pear and lemon curd.

Available starting Saturday, August 22nd.

We can’t wait for you to try it

Cora is in full winery-prep mode.

We’re tracking the usual markers (BRIX, pH, & TA), alongside growing degree days and the weather forecast. Those three juice numbers give us a sense of how the fruit is progressing, and the growing degree days and forecast give us an idea of how fast or slow the window is moving.

Years ago a nursery accidentally mixed Pinot Gris vines into our Riesling block, so every season we get about 1,000 pounds of Pinot Gris that ripens first. That small lot is almost always the first pick. Sauvignon Blanc usually follows around Labor Day.

Slowly moving our way towards harvest.

Grapes are still moving through veraison, equipment is being cleaned, and barrels & tanks are being prepped.

We’re expecting to bring in our Sauvignon Blanc fruit at the end of August. Until then, we’re on cleaning and landscaping detail.

Well, this growing season has delivered just about everything we could ask for. Days in the mid-80s, nights in the high 60s, and well-timed rainfall have created ideal conditions in the vineyard. At our elevation, those cooler nights help preserve natural acidity and slow the pace of ripening.

Last week, the berries began to soften and change color, marking the transition from growth to ripening. From here, the vine’s energy shifts toward developing the flavors & aromas.
