It’s Apple Festival weekend, so clearly we had to get in on the apple fun.

We’re giving you a little sneak peek of our upcoming Autumn drink menu with an Iced Caramel Apple Butter Latte featuring local Imladris Farm Apple Butter, topped with Apple Cold Foam and finished with a Brown Butter Caramel Drizzle. Y’ALL. It is so good.

And there are plenty more apple things happening in the market right now! Local apple c***r, Spicewalla Spices Apple Pie Spice, Imladris Farm Apple Butter, Asheville Tea Company Spiced Apple Butter Tea, Apple Pie Honey and lots more.

We know everyone is ready for fall, but it’s still summer as far as we can tell 😂 so the full Autumn drink menu will have to wait just a little bit longer. For now, come get your apple fix and enjoy Apple Festival weekend with us!

Imladris is a sixth-generation family farm in Fairview, NC. Their gourmet jams are made with fruit grown right on their farm or sourced from five other small, local family farms.

Local produce is showing off right now!

We’ve got melons from Bearwallow Valley Farms, beautiful NC blueberries, and gorgeous eggplant grown in Lake Lure, NC in the market right now.

Showcasing produce grown here in our region whenever we can is such a big part of the heart of our market. We love knowing where our food comes from, getting to support the people growing it, and sharing all that goodness with you.

FRIDAY FAVORITES: Velvet Grapefruit

This week’s Friday Favorite is extra special because the maker behind Faybrianne is also one of our very own Market Managers! We love Faybrianne, and we love getting to share her work with you.

Faybrianne is a fiber artist based here in the mountains of WNC, but her love of working with her hands goes back generations. Her great-grandmother was a quilter, her grandmother sewed much of her mother’s clothing, and Faybrianne has carried that tradition forward in her own way.

Her weaving journey started with a vintage kit loom she found on Marketplace, the kind that was popular in the ’60s and ’70s. It lasted just long enough to make two scarves, but that was enough for her to fall in love with the process.

For Faybrianne, working with fiber is a connection to the generations before her who worked with their hands as a way of life. And while her roots are in the Midwest, her work is very much connected to the place she calls home today. Most of the cotton yarn she uses is grown and spun right here in North Carolina.

FRIDAY FAVORITES: Salt + Light Acres 🐐

This week’s Friday Favorite is Salt + Light Acres, a small family farm just down the road in Saluda, NC!

Megan and Josh Knights raise Nigerian Dwarf goats and have found all kinds of wonderful ways to put the fresh goat milk from their herd to good use. Their line includes goat milk soaps, sugar scrubs, lotions, bath soaks and more, all made with a focus on using what their farm provides and being good stewards of it.

We love getting to carry products made by small local farms like this, and these are such a fun addition to the market. Next time you’re in, take a look at the Salt + Light Acres collection!

At Ecusta, one thing is certain, we LOVE Big Spoon Roasters! Hailing from Hillsborough, NC, this local nut butter business is the best around (I’m not exaggerating when I say our family currently has four open jars in our pantry). We carry a pretty large selection of their nut butters, bars, and Wag butters (for the pups). We are SO excited to now be carrying their newest seasonal flavor- Cherry Pie Cashew & Almond Butter! They’ll be hanging out at the market from 10am to 12pm pouring samples of two of our favorites: Blue Ridge Mountain Mint and Hibiscus Mojito.

We love these teas because they’re made with real botanicals, sourced from farms here in the Southeast, and the cold brew blends are really refreshing this time of year.
