We can’t wait for this special day!
In Hendersonville, North Carolina, the Lavender Festival at Grandad’s Apples N’ Such kicks off June 20th as part of “Lavender Season” at this beloved family-run farm…making for one of the best and most beautiful ways to welcome summer in Western North Carolina! On festival day, you’ll find 30+ vendors, live music, food trucks, and plenty for families, with no admission fee and the playground open. Walk through rows of blooming lavender, pick your own lavender bouquet, take photos across the fields, and enjoy fresh strawberries, blueberries, and warm bakery treats. Lavender-specific favorites like donuts, lemonade, cookies, and more are featured throughout the farm, along with a busy barn store full of local goods. But "Lavender Season" on the farm starts well before that. Beginning May 29, the fields bloom with lavender, larkspur, and sunflowers. You can pick two types of lavender, shop dried bundles and gifts, enjoy limited-time lavender treats as well as all of the other delicious bites to eat regularly sold here, and join hands-on lavender workshops on various days! While Grandad's Apples N' Such is most well-known for its apple picking season during fall...the beauty of "Lavender Season" is just as incredible here, so plan to stop by and enjoy!
