💛 They ripen to a beautiful golden-yellow color — making them easy to spot when they're ready.
🍯 They're naturally sweet and honey-like, with a rich, fruity flavor.
🌱 They have a distinctive elongated “neck”, which is where the name Long Neck comes from.
🍑 The inside is soft, juicy, and often beautifully amber or golden-colored when ripe.
👀 A little softness is a good thing! A ripe fig should yield gently when pressed rather than feeling rock-hard.
💛 And perhaps the best fact of all: you don't have to peel a ripe fig—the skin is completely edible!
