Got us some pears with my little helper! Peeled them, sliced them, put them in a lemon water bath, laid them on a baking sheet in the freezer, and then bagged them up!

We gave the rotten or buggy ones to the donkeys and chickens. I love having frozen pear slices from our tree! 🍐🍐🍐

We had fun selling at the 127 sale! Sold out of my pickles! About 60 jars! They were a hit. Had a few people come back for more after trying them! I’m thinking about what else to sell for next year 🤔.

So many people wanted to buy Lily. I thought about putting a stickers on her for “ONE BILLION DOLLARS OBO”, but decided she’s priceless and “NOT FOR SALE”. 😂

So, we love having our chickens able to be pasture raised and able to eat bugs and plants, but lately, we have been having a problem with foxes getting our chickens.

So instead of Alex starting a second job as a fox hunter, we decided to get a couple of livestock guardian donkeys! Our neighbor works with a couple that hooked us up with the 2 cutest little fillies! They don’t look it now, but they are going to be quite the guardians. We don’t have names yet, but so far we have had some suggestions such as pork and beans, Donna and Dorthy, and Thelma and Louise. So far, I’m liking Donna and Dorthy 😁

Thank you Jimmy N Kim Johnson for finding these and being so kind as to drive your truck and trailer to pick them up!! I know I say it all the time, but we are so grateful to have y’all as our neighbors! We love these babies already, and they are a great new addition to our mini farm ❤️

Our barn cat “Barney” disappeared a couple months ago, and since then, the rats have come back! So we got us a couple new mousers! The gray one is a bit crazy so that one we named Grayzey, but haven’t named the other yet. Lily wants to play with them 😂
