This year's batch of turkeys raised by our Grandkids were so meaty, juicy, and delicious!

(Shout out to Sarah who sent us this photo of the meaty turkey she pre-ordered from Madzy this year all carved up and in the roaster. I forgot to get any pics of our 19-pounder before we decimated it at the Penny Hollow Poultry Thanksgiving meal today.)

💥 Last Call before Thanksgiving: Madzy & Grandma have 3 whole, frozen Turkeys ready to go at the Columbia Farmer’s Market today from 3-6pm. Come get your bird from Penny Hollow Poultry and start thawing it now for those weekend Holiday celebrations! 🦃 Once these are gone we likely won't have any more Turkey to offer until at least late next summer.

Surprise! Our granddaughter Madisyn has 3 turkeys yet to sell. Who wants one?

Do you have your turkey yet? Even if you do but secretly wished it was one of ours instead, I've got you. This year's birds are whole, frozen, $6.50/lb and 18-20lbs each. You can reach out to me- Julia Suess- to make ASAP arrangements, and I can also offer a Tuesday pickup from our Madzy at the Columbia Farmers Market with Grandma Sheila at the Penny Hollow Poultry booth during CFM's special Thanksgiving Market from 3-6pm. (Please do keep in mind what day you were wanting to cook your turkey so that you can account for the proper thawing time.)

Today we’re sampling two delicious sweet breads from Penny Hollow Poultry at the South Ambassador table: Sweet Potato Bread made with sweet potatoes from Sunny Acres Farms, and Cinnamon Apple Bread featuring apples from Hickory Ridge Orchard . We love seeing vendors source ingredients from their fellow farmers!

Reminder: The annual Thanksgiving Market is scheduled for Tuesday, November 25, 3-6pm. We will be closed next Saturday, November 29 so our vendors and staff can enjoy the holiday.

Our Free-Range turkeys are almost 12 weeks old and growing well! In addition to what they happily forage all day on our Homestead, these birds are given free access to a custom feed blend rich with protein and locally milled by our friends at Osage Feed & Supply. Always hormone and antibiotic Free, our small-batch Market Turkeys are ethically hand-raised by our 4-H Youth in Ag with your Thanksgiving Table in mind.
