June is for poppies and campanula!! They are coming in fast this week with the sun and heat. I’m infatuated with the campanula and it lasts 10-14 days after it’s been cut!

Oh…remember those little baby feverfew that I couldn’t stop raving over? They’re almost 4’ tall and about to bloom!! 🤩🤩🤩

History in the making right here!!! …and a short story.
My favorite LL Bean work boots are roughly…ancient. They were picked up at Goodwill by a customer of the ski shop I was working at in Bangor, ME, happened to be my size, and given to me at least 15 years ago. They have been falling apart for a while and this spring they started loosing their soles. Then, my 3 year old son peed in them (“MOMMY!! I’M PEEING IN YOUR BOOTS!) and I decided it was time. RIP boots, you have been through SO many hiking and farming adventures! Upon recommendation from the ladies at the Dirt on Flowers podcast, and a birthday gift card, I was able to get my hands on this pair of Blundstone boots. I am SO thrilled to get these broken in and comfy!

Thanks to Kristine Radlof and Pop Pop for that excellent birthday gift card. I’m not sure what my feet would have done without it! 🥰🤣💐🥾

Just over here adding to my rock collection! I spent the day prepping dahlia beds for the big dahlia planting extravaganza tomorrow. I should have taken a picture of the big rocks I pulled out - but I think I was too busy being angry with them for existing. 🤪🤣 Moving on! 😎

A moment for the Poppies! These are, hands down, the most gigantic Iceland Poppies I have grown to date. They are bigger than my palm! As challenging as it has been learning how to grow on new property, something landed just right for these babies. 😍 They will be a show stopper in the mixed bouquets this weekend!
Next up: turning some hay field into a dahlia patch. Stay tuned! 😎
