Since I’ve been keeping the cows out of this field during the summer I have noticed that the Big Bluestem has been spreading. The cows love it which is good but they eat it so much they don’t allow it to grow and go to seed. Keeping them out of the field during the summers is essential to letting it seed out.

I had a great time talking with Will at ZWT Ranch about his operation. He graciously took time out of his day to speak with us about his breeding program and show us some impressive cattle.

I have four bred Angus heifers up for discussion. They’re home raised and up to date with their vaccinations, Cavalry 9, Virashield 6 VL5, OCV (Bangs Vaccine) and tested BVD-PI negative. I also have Zoetis Inherit Select DNA profiles for the heifers. They should begin calving in October based on the turn in date of the bull. They’re bred to a low birthweight registered Angus bull that is a son of PVF Insight 0129.
If interested I can get them palpated by a vet to confirm bred. Located in Wichita County, Tx.
Direct message me for more information.
