ππ Okay, but hear me outβ¦ RABBIT IN A PUMPKIN!
Has anyone else seen that viral recipe where people stuff a whole chicken inside a pumpkin and roast the whole thing?!
Well, naturally, my first thought wasβ¦ why not a rabbit?! π€
I mean, we raise rabbits for meat, so I guess my brain just works a little differently π€·ββοΈ
And if you've never cooked with rabbit before, you're missing out on a pretty fantastic protein!
π High in protein! Around 28β30 grams per 3.5 oz of cooked meat.
π Naturally lean! Rabbit is generally lower in fat than many traditional cuts of beef and pork.
π Nutrient dense! A great source of vitamin B12, selenium, and phosphorus.
π Mild and versatile! Rabbit takes on flavors beautifully, making it a great option for cooking with seasonal vegetables and herbs. It's the "best chicken you've never had"β’οΈ
Now I'm picturing a whole rabbit tucked inside a pumpkin with some butter, garlic, onions, and fresh herbsβ¦ except knowing me, I'd probably throw the whole thing on the smoker instead of in the oven. π€£π₯
And before anyone asks, no, I haven't actually tried this yet! The pumpkin-roasted rabbit picture is AI because apparently my imagination is getting ahead of my kitchen experiments. π
But now I'm thinking I might actually have to make it happen!
So what do you think?
Would you eat a smoked rabbit roasted inside a pumpkin, or have I officially gone too far with my farm-to-table experiments? ππ
