We had to take delivery at another location with an appropriate driveway. But we passed the pilot run!

Had to cover the window behind this black rex doe to keep her from looking like a seal! 🫣🖤 I hope I can show her after she finishes prime. I have not shown a black in several years!

Only 4 buckets for biweekly p**p chores in the Rex barn, we are at our annual population low. I prefer 1 rabbit per hole, no breeding when it is hot. It is also nice for chores to be easier in the summer.

🫣Last week I bred a tri buck before he went to camp… so the low will not last too much longer! I have 9 pairs of Rex lined up! I already bred 3 Jersey Woolys and 3 from my new project breed.

NFS Pictures of Lulu and Venezuela taken by Sassy Angoras Photography at Covington GA show this past Saturday.

Lulu is my favorite chocolate doe, she insists on head rubbings, and I love to pet her fur. I 🤎 her deep chocolate color. She holds finish and prime longer. She had 10 legs before the Aiken show, where she was BoB 3/4 times. She was BoV at Covington 3x. She has the most legs of any chocolate to date, only beaten by Dimi, a broken chocolate buck with 14. He also holds prime well. I’m trying to lock in the hold prime trait, and they balance one another in type, so I plan to pair the two soon. This hold prime trait comes from line breeding on Navarre and Decker foundation stock. A bonus trait I concentrated while testing for unwanted recessives. One side effect is that it also takes them longer to fully mature. So we have been showing and winning on 3rd and even 4th primes.

The orange Jersey Wooly senior doe is Venezuela, she was BoB 1x in Aiken and 1x in Covington, both under Don Sheets. I really like her super clean and intense color! She also has an easy care coat and lives outside in GA. Her heat tolerance and ability to hold condition is remarkable! This intense and vibrant color is what we are aiming for in our orange program. One judge commented she is closer to red than orange, but I disagree. Red is the most intense rufus, like on Thriantas.

Both are chocolate based does. 🤎🧡🤎 Deidre said Orange looks brighter on chocolate base than black. 🖤🧡🖤

I did not get pictures of the bruns… BK2 intermediate doe was BoB in the commercial show, and BoS 1x at Covington. Winter was BoB 1x her first weekend out, great type and body comments about her sister Summer, she just needs more silvering.

Hoping to recover a bit before going out to show again. This extended heat is tough on all of us.

I love looking at her band colors when I blow out Carebear, this junior chestnut jersey wooly doe. It reminds me of a kaleidoscope!

We have a pair of senior lynx rex looking for a new barn. The broken is the buck, solid is the doe. Lilac Agouti lynx. Peak position on the buck is something we have been focusing on, width throughout on the doe has been our second focus. They are distantly related, should be a good pair.

I can PM more photos. I hope they can help someone out. I can bring them to Covington GA show 8/8/26.

We took 20 entries to our home club Aiken SC show this weekend across 3 breeds. It is the most rabbits I have ever entered and the most rabbit carriers in the truck to date!

Rex chocolate senior doe was BoB 3 out of 4 shows. Chin buck was BoS 1x, opal buck was BoS 1x, chocolate buck was BoS 1x, and a black buck owned by Emilie was BoS 1x. Lilac junior doe was BoB 1x her first weekend on the table! Piper said she is the prettiest lilac color she has ever seen. 💜 The Chocolate doe Lulu had already earned 10 legs before this weekend, she is my most winningest chocolate rex ever! 🤎

In Bruns BK2 doe beat her two brothers in all 4 shows and went BoB.

In Jersey Woolys our Orange doe VZ was BoB 1x, an agouti doe was BoB 1x, Gonzo (a broken buck) was BoS 1x. Julie was BoB with a sable buck 1x and BoS with him twice, her broken doe was BoB 2x, and reserve best in show 1x!

We were done by 3 pm, it was a well run show! I ran the raffle table for the first time (I don’t even do yard sales!), so that was an interesting experience.

Sorry for the wonky rotation on the pictures, I am willfully sans FB app.

Tattooed the four season litter today. Out of our Argente Bruns Brun Hilda x K’vok. Two chocolate does, a lilac doe, and a lilac buck (far left when facing). Summer, Winter, Autumn, and Spring.
Dam was 1/18 senior doe at 2025 convention. It is wild to grow out so many from a litter, but they are pretty consistent in commercial type.
Lilac buck is our #2 buck atm, he has a date with Buttercup and some Lilac Agouti Huberts in a few weeks.
The variation in silvering on the two chocolate does in the center is interesting to compare. Purists will say one is not enough silvering. I think both are beautiful.
