STAND CLOSED TOMORROW (8/29)
Phew, what a summer! It’s been a minute since I’ve done a Bright Family Update - you’ll have to forgive me, I’m functioning on one brain cell 🤪😂
First things first, the stand will be closed tomorrow! We just got home from an end of summer road trip to CO and we’re pooped!!! Jason needed to head out there for work and we had the opportunity to tag along with him! We have family that live in the area, so the kiddos were able to hang out with aunts, uncles and cousins and see actual mountains for the first time - it was a great way to wrap up the summer! ⛰️🚐
Our youngest has recently gotten a new safety bed and it has been a GAME CHANGER! His smart, sneeky little self did manage to escape out of it once, but we remedied that and now we take a big breath when he sleeps. We also only had one ED visit with him this past year (🤞🏻) and considering we were frequent flyers there for a while, once in year is quite the accomplishment!!
The big 3 have had a very busy summer! All those blueberries at the stand, those were picked by them! They earned money by doing it and got to see the fruits of their labor (pun intended 🫐😉)! They’ve been such big helpers with tending to both gardens and the chickens! They love picking a fresh tomato or carrot and taking a big bite!
Speaking of chickens…we have 65 meat birds that will be ready for butchering around the 1st week in October! They’re delicious, so if you’re interested in one or more, let us know so we can get your order in!! We also became the new owners of 25 new laying hens courtesy of our friends at The Frozen Nort Farm. The girls needed a new home and we were so happy to bring them to meet our girls (and boys, turkeys & guineas) and bring you all more eggs to the stand now! Hopefully our chicks from this year will start laying around November and then it will really be an egg explosion! 🐔🥚💥
We’re all looking forward to the start of a new school year though!! Not quite sure who’s more exited though - the kiddos or myself!! 😂🤪
