Very last bouquet of the season, I made a big one for myself to enjoy.
🥶🥶🥶
Birdhouse gourd harvest!
We ended up getting a couple of extra days to enjoy flowers, as it stayed above freezing the last two nights. Tonight is supposed to be in the low 20s, so I cut a couple of more buckets of flowers and took one last picture of them. It's not as pretty out here anymore, but there's still been plenty of color to make it enjoyable. And lastly, my Pearl girl. She's always touching me if she can help it. We took our time and relaxed this morning, Fridays are my day off and Pearl loves when I'm home!
A freeze is expected tonight and then we get really cold, so these are likely the last of my first flower season! I cut what I could fit in my schedule this afternoon for my last order of the season, for a birthday party this weekend. The beauty of the flowers brought joy to me every time I came home and to all those that drove by. It's sad it's over, but I'm looking forward to next year, and already have a lot of my seeds bought!
The saffron crocuses have started popping up, and they smell so good!!
It's been a nice extended summer and warm fall. Some of my flowers have started taking off again with the cooler weather. But, this weekend will for sure be the end of everything if this cold of weather stays in the forecast.
The kittens got out to explore around the garden a bit this morning. Momma had taken them out of our shop window during the night the other day, and they were completely missing for a few days. A neighbor found 4 of the 5 kittens so I brought them back home. I'm still hoping momma and the missing kitten are safe out there somewhere. These guys seem happy to be home, I think they missed the canned food I've been feeding them! 😂
Beautiful anniversary bouquet that went out today
We're a week into October, it's nearly 80°, and there is still so much beauty in the garden. I love still getting to enjoy my flowers!
It's a bug's life!
With gardening comes bugs, and while a lot of them are good (pollinators) sometimes there are bugs that can destroy your crops too. Thankfully this year I didn't get any of the bad, or even get bit or stung. 😄
Did you know:
Luffa or loofah, the sponge we all know, does not come from the ocean? It is actually a gourde, that when young and tender is used in dishes such as stir fry. When left on the vine they will eventually dry out and turn brown. At this point the skin peels off easily to reveal the loofah sponge inside.
Pearl sure had fun in the garden today!
Last subscription pickup, this week!! The flowers are just about done for the season, so this will wrap things up. Pickup will be Friday this week instead of Thursday, from 5:30pm-6:30pn. If you'd like just a one time purchase to enjoy the last bit of summer, message me and I'll have some extras ready. 😊
Two more subscription pickups! I love the bouquets for tonight, they are so bright and colorful.
The Asters are so pretty! And a nice evening stroll through the garden.
I love the sunflowers that are currently blooming! And the elephant ear leaves have the coolest pattern.
Dahlias with zinnias and sunflowers in the background
This praying mantis was hanging out upside down on a sunflower yesterday morning, enjoying the sunshine.
The summer is nearing the end, as well as my first year flower farming. The flowers are getting ready to reseed themselves for next year as the weather begins to change, so I started collecting seeds today, to plant this upcoming spring.
My asters finally bloomed! I didn't think I'd get any this year and was bummed about it. I'm so glad I'll get to enjoy them and use them for at least a few weeks and will definitely try with them again next year!
And the birdhouse gourds did awesome! Those will also be available for purchase when they are ready.
Back to school bouquets! Offered this week and next week. Comes in a pint jar, ready to be delivered to your child's new teacher. $15/each.
If you need DIY wedding flowers or bloom bar flowers message me. Flowers sold by the bucket, filled with a variety of blooms and color.
Fall subscriptions time!
The weather has definitely cooled and fall is in the air, but keep summer going indoors with a fall subscription. Weekly pickup for a total of 4 bouquets available for a total of $100! Message me if you'd like to sign up. Or, if you'd like a one time purchase, need a gift, a back to school teacher bouquet, or any other flower need. Buckets also available for DIY bloom bar, make your own bouquets, etc.
It may be gloomy outside with all the smoke, but you can bring some bright cheery-ness in still with fresh cut flowers! Reach out if you'd like some beautiful flowers to bring indoors!
Due to extreme heat this weeks subscriptions will be moved to next week! That means you'll get flowers two weeks in a row. It's just way too hot to harvest and put the jars out and Friday night we have plays all evening.
Dahlias!
Reminder: Subscription pick up tonight, 6-7pm. If you don't have a subscription and would like to start, I've got a few extra bouquets. If you'd like just a one time purchase, extras are $25. See you tonight!
The finches love the sunflowers
It's a jungle out there!
I've got a variety of flowers for all your flower needs. House warming, birthday, anniversary, and just because! Today I cut some that needed cutting badly so I can fill my house with flowers to enjoy inside.
We've got some cute boys sitting in the flower garden, ready to sell flowers, and they even have some fresh apricots!!

If you'd like a subscription and haven't reached out I have a couple of extra bouquets available, or if you'd like a one time purchase they are $25. I will have them outside for quick pickup, so the closer to 6 for pick up the better, as it will be pretty warm this evening.
Trying to garden with dogs 🤣
Dahlias! 😍 Summer subscriptions still available, and as the season progresses and the dahlias continue to bloom, more and more will be included in your arrangements.
The dogs trying to stay close, but also cool. The sunflowers were the only shade they could find 😆
Every day there's more stuff blooming!

Bouquets will be available for farm pickup, either weekly for 6 weeks (then a fall subscription will be available) or bi- weekly for the rest of the season, which will be approximately 14 weeks.
