Show season is well on its way as we've already completed 2!
The Weld County Goat Extravaganza didn't yield any ribbons but the herd placed well with many 1sts and top 3 placings and served as a nice practice show for the 4 ring Colorado Showdown.
We started are Friday evening with bucks. I brought along 2 yearling ND bucks to help out with numbers.
- Twin Pears Best Cortado was 3x 2nd and 1x 3rd
- Fredin Acres JD Drunken Sailor was 3x 3rd and 1x 2nd.
I also brought my special new addition to the alpine herd. ☆ Redwood Hills Forte Benefit who placed 2x 2nd, 1x 3rd, & 1x 1st in a large class of senior buck kids.
Saturday was fast paced and a tad hectic racing back and forth between the two barns for Nigerians and the standard breeds. I am very appreciative of all those who helped get my girls in the ring!
For seniors:
~ Gabhran Creek Fortune N Glory was 2x 2nd, 1x 3rd and 1x 1st out of 6 or 7 in the class.
~ Mountain Dream Beauty Unveiled was 2x 4th, 1x 6th, 1x 3rd out of 12ish.
~(Alpine) Dawnwind Strat Lebop was 2x 2nd, 1x 3rd, 1x 1st out of 5.
~ (Alpine) Dawnwind Promise Sibelle was 4x 2nd out of 3.
Juniors:
~ Mountain Dream MG HeartsDesire was 4x 1st Senior kid.
~ Mountain Dream MG Dahlia was 4x 1st Intermediate kid.
~ (Alpine) Mountain Dream RHF Leilani was 1x 1st, 2x 2nd, and 1x 3rd Senior kid.
~ (Alpine) Mountain Dream RHF Luana was 2x 1st and 2x 2nd Senior kid.
~ (Alpine) Mountain Dream Shimmy Lilia was 1x 3rd, 1x 2nd, 2x 1st Senior dry yearling.
☆ HeartsDesire went Reserve under judge Elizabeth Beck and Grand Champion Junior under Garret Moorse ☆
☆ Leilani went Reserve under judge Ed Cavanah ☆
☆ Luana went Grand Champion under Judge Julie Matthys ☆
☆ Lilia went Reserve under judge Elizabeth Beck.
It's a good start to the show season for sure!
