Twelve years ago, it all started with a handshake! We’re so grateful for our friends at area 51 ice cream and honored to play a small part in the joy they bring to so many. Thank you for the kind words and for supporting local farms, local families and our community. 🍓🫶🏻🫐
We’d like to take another moment to express our sincere appreciation for the local farmers who support what we do here in Hernando.
In particular, we want to give a huge shoutout to Cedar Hill Farm and to Robert and Heather. When we first started our business, we had only been living in Hernando for about a year. We made a trip out to Cedar Hill Farm to ask about purchasing berries for our ice cream, and that day we struck a simple handshake agreement—one that has been honored and upheld for the past 12 years.
This year, Cedar Hill Farm is facing a shortage of blackberries. Rather than selling all of their available berries to the general public at retail price, Robert and Heather have chosen to reserve enough to continue supplying us with the blackberries that our customers have come to love in our ice cream.
In business, a person’s word is invaluable. Robert and Heather have demonstrated that time and time again, and we are incredibly grateful for their partnership, loyalty, and support. Relationships like these are a big part of what has helped us build what we have today.
Thank you, Robert and Heather, and thank you, Cedar Hill Farm, for being such an important part of our journey over the last 12 years. We are proud to support local agriculture and even prouder to work alongside people who truly stand behind their word.
Here is a pic of Karin that day. I think that is the total amount of strawberries we bought that day😂😂😂
