Huge shout out to the WV Parkways Authority, AEP, & Elliott for helping to get us back online after an electrical fire!!!

If you had a wholesale block order, or online order we are now getting generators online to be able to continue fulfillment.

Another huge thank you to our local restaurants for running some mushroom specials this week to help clear out our fridge. Sam's Uptown Cafe, Ristorante Abruzzi, & 1010 Bridge Restaurant & Catering

Fresh Mushrooms will be half off this week wholesale to any interested restaraunt or business as our back up fridge now online can only can hold so many lbs!

Huge thanks also to Patriot Guardens and Refresh Appalachia for being willing to swoop in and save some mushrooooooms!!!

While this is super stressful, the tunnel is naturally cool, so production will be a bit off before our big holiday push but at least what we have won’t be lost. Back in the old days at Hernshaw if the power went up in smoke our whole crop was lost, in the tunnel we need flash lights but much less to worry about!

Huge thanks to the State of WV today!

Proud to be West Virginian today, almost 8 years ago we started on a strip mine in Hernshaw, WV. I lived there in an old mine office trailer, working around the clock to grow it. This video shows what will be our largest harvest ever in the Memorial Tunnel. It's so big we're not sure how we're going to pick it all... (Scaling is hard) Yesterday we renewed our USDA MGAP certification and hope to spread the spore a little more through some exciting new channels. A huge thanks to the Parkways Authority, the State of WV, the WVEDA, and Coalfield Development for working with us to grow this industry in our great state.

If you want to support this project grab some mushrooms on hernshawfarms.com or just simply share this post! We got $1 last month from your shares!! Woohoo!!!!
