Google Gemini Automated. AI and I have been making some crazy inroads on automating our farm tasks lately, and it’s honestly been a game-changer for the family. At our current size, the farm is something that requires daily check-ins just to ensure everything is running smoothly.
Instead of constant manual monitoring, we now have AI-customized software and sensors everywhere that literally call my phone if anything goes awry.
The Past: When I first started, this kind of tech existed, but it was incredibly expensive and required managing a dozen different apps.
The Present: Now, I’ve integrated the entire farm into a single app. When the dehydrator or steamer needs to be unloaded, it automatically populates right onto the team task list.
The best part? Less time micromanaging equipment means way more quality time at home with the kids. ❤️

My next goal is to build an autonomous robot to handle inventory while I’m sleeping. I previously built a mini Raspberry Pi car, but our rough terrain proved to be too much for it. My plan now is to upgrade the build using a solar-powered Power Wheels car—hoping this one can handle the bumps and get the job done! What’re y’all using AI for around the Farm?
