Did you know, pound for pound a single female rabbit (a doe) will out produce a cow in one year of harvested meat? Rabbits can have babies every 30 days. Litter sizes range between an average of 6-12. The offspring are harvested around 3-5 pounds at 12 weeks of age. If you take the low numbers that's 216 lbs of meat from one doe if you breed her consistently. My 26 babies (from 3 does) will result anywhere between 78-130 pounds of high quality meat in the freezer.
